@@AnotherCutAbove Interesting. I have been growing a beard as well and haven’t been using my traditional wet shaving gear either. I have been using Gillette Pure for quite some time. It is very slick. Have you mostly been using the Gillette Skin Guard also?

Bore bristle brush good choice to spread the lather through the beard thickness and onto the base part of hair on the skin. If were me with a beard, I would either use electric clipper or maybe even scissors on the more lengthy growth first.
Better idea if your face felt raw after first pass, instead of scrubbing to put on lather for second pass, paint it on so to not create any more irritation than necessary.
Hey man love the heavy metal goatee looks great on you man ever did the monkey tail beard I gave one to my dad he is not ready for head shaving yet I still shave my head every day with the Rockwell de razor???
