- This video shows you how to easily get TONS of Ancient Arrows in Zelda Breath of the Wild which are the most powerful arrows in the game. Ever wonder what those guardian parts could be used for? Well, Ancient Arrows are what we've seen Link fighting with countless times in the Nintendo trailers for botw and we use those parts to make these overpowered arrows. You will learn where to go to get the arrows and also how to farm a TON of Guardian parts in Hyrule that are required in order to make them. Video INCLUDES Robbie's research task briefly and shows the path to navigate.
We go over how to beat a Guardian with my own personal special technique that allows you to obtain a higher monster part yield from them to get more parts per kill. We will collect ancient gears, ancient scews, ancient cores, Giant ancient cores, ancient shafts and much more. I will show you possibly the easiest location to get guardian parts which are needed to make Ancient Arrows. This is not a arrow farming video and I believe this may be the closest to Ancient arrow farming as we will ever get.The guardians we farm to obtain the monster parts are:

You could just use statis +. Also there is this glitch where you can just delete a guardian. First use statis + and if the guardian is mobile one it falls through the map it has to not be activated.

I have three levels of treatment for guardian stalkers, I've used this since I started encountering them lol:
Basic Treatment: Reflect their lasers, simple kill.
Deluxe Treatment: Cut off their legs, reflect lasers. Not so simple.
Triple Deluxe Treatment: Cut off their legs, caress them and tell them it's alright, fondle them, and then whack them to death with a glowing Master Sword.

Tip: sometimes the Guardian Stalker will notice you too soon and they can actually walk pretty fast and make it hard to get close enough to chop off their legs. If this happens, shoot it in the eye with any arrow and it'll be temporarily stunned long enough for you to close the gap and go Cobra Kai on it.
STatis+ is my preferred way to get the stun needed to close the gap. If you run out of line of sight it'll take a second for it to find you again. By then you should be chopping legs off which stuns it some more.

I just keep on shooting with bomb arrows until they explode
Just use the rune power to freeze them temporarily.
After you take the legs, I find it's better to use a shield parry to reflect their blast back at them. So long as you time it right, it doesn't do any damage to your shield (a new shield will still sparkle as if it hasn't been used yet), and you save your ancient arrows so you can build your supply quicker and cheaper. (edit* as well as save wear and tear on your bows)
"Find" and "buy" surprisingly are not synonymous.

Tip for Getting Blue Flame There:
Get two speed potions by mixing 5 fleet-lotus seeds for each.
If I can ever get back on my game, I will try that out, but I wish I knew critter parts that could do the same. Since I haven't played it in so long, I can't remember what to use.
@GH-wd8zr You can also make a speed potion with 2 fleet-lotus seeds, 1 rushroom, 1 hot-footed frog, and 1 bokoblin guts. Four frogs and one bokoblin guts also works. Enjoy!

weird, because I always get crap drops from the stalkers, I rarely get ancient shafts and i only get cores and mega cores from shrine chests! can you help me?

Lmao. all I do is farm the Skywatchers near Akkala Tower and the Ordorac Quarry (Spring of Power)
Just jump right above the skywatchers, and use an Ancient Arrow on the Sheikah symbol on top of them.
do major tests of strengths and don’t fight decayed guardians.
Flying guardians are the ones that drop the big cores but it its random, easiest way is to get a bunch of ancient arrows (15) and go to Akkala Tower or Ordorac Quarry and one shot them in the eye. Rinse and repeat every bloodmoon or with save files.

If you want to save your ancient arrows (for the flying guardians, I suppose), you can use normal arrows to hit the eye to stun the walking ones. The upgraded time-stop ability will hold them in place if you need time to aim. In addition to giving extra loot, chopping off the legs also works as a quick stun. Lastly, the Master Sword is absolutely brutal against guardians. It glows blue and jumps from 30 dmg up to 60 when guardians are around.

Uh... I think it's pronounced "Off!...with their [HEADS!]" and not "Off!...with their [LEGS!]" but that doesn't matter, those Artifact Gears sure can turn a "Nightmare Victim" into a "Nightmare Hunter/Huntress".
Another quick tip is that you can use stasis + to make guardians really visible and it can also be used to distinguish dormant guardians from active guardians
You should've said one Ancient Arrow to the *eye* of a Gaurdian will kill them. Not just anywhere. It was because your Bow was skewing the data I believe. Ancient Arrows deal a flat damage, no matter the bow, but Multi-Arrow bows do indeed affect this flat damage by multiplying it. So with a standard bow, you need to hit a Gaurdian thrice on the body to kill it. Since you're firing multiple arrows, all the time you would've spent firing 3 arrows is condensed into one.
That is an EXCELLENT point! Sooo, are you saying the guardian won't die with one Ancient Arrow firing from a boko bow, for example?
Yes. Any non-multi-arrow bow takes 3 shots to kill with ancient arrows. I should also mention that arrow types also skew data, since they add a flat damage buff (elemental arrows don't function like elemental weapons, since a Flameblade doesn't get an immediate damage buff towards enemies, but fire arrows do). Example : You could have a 4 damage Boko Bow, but with Bomb Arrows, you're dealing *44* damage (Damage +40). I guess what is the most interesting part about bow and arrows are that multi-arrow bows do weird things. If you have a 5 shot Lynel bow, I believe that rather than each arrow getting a damage buff +8 (40 spread across all the arrows), they get *40 each*. So even without taking into account the bow's standard damage, you're dealing *200 damage in total with a 5 shot Lynel bow*. So with bomb arrows, 5 shot Lynel bows are by far the most powerful bows in the game.

Actually, I believe that Bomb arrows add 40 damage. Also, sorry if my comment came off a bit blunt.

If you wear Ancient Armor and eat a high-level mighty food buffer, one hit from an ancient battle axe ++ goes from 60 to 270. No need to waste an ancient arrow when farming guardians.
Well, he did go from 15 to 40, even spending the arrows... +25 isn't bad.

another streamer/gamer botw - Very mathematical & Stat focused EASILY brought 1 Hit from Link to an enemy with a 6080 HP Destruction Ability - I was blown away - anyone can do it... its weapons, food, armor no gimmicks he uses only ancient weapons drops from scouts with Mega Upgrades - Maxed out Armor - 3+ food before battle.
It's not bad, but isn't using all the arrows like going 3 steps forward and 1 back? Sure you're still 2 steps from where you started, but dang.
The area around Hyrule Castle is far more dense with Guardian Stalkers than the area around the Tower is. Also, the flying Guardians seem to drop Ancient Cores and Giant Ancient Cores more often than the regular Guardian Stalkers, and more of them at a time too. You can often get up to three Ancient Cores in a kill from a flying Guardian!
That shot at the end with the five arrows was really cool!

Optional : Savage Lynel Bow x5, 100+ arrows of any type, Snowquill Set 2 stars, Flamebreaker Set 2 stars
Upgraded x2 for Unfreezable/Fireproof
Snowquill can't protect you from freezing waters

BTW if you don't have a powerful bow, you can aim the ancient arrow at the guardian's eye and on hit kill with any bow. if you find it hard to aim, use Stasis on the guardian or wait until it aims at you
very good, but that was more than an ancient core, it was a giant ancient core, these are the real prizes as they are needed to make ancient bows which are invaluable because they shoot straight without hardly any arc... also, the second prize, is ancient shafts, they are crucial to ancient arrows and are typically a fair bit rarer than most other items....

Stephen Harvey making 5 arrows needs the shaft but 3 or less doesn't, so the ancient shafts aren't crucial, guess they wanted diversity in material to make the ancient arrows.

That machine is OP. Been farming guardians like crazy at Hyrule Castle after every blood moon. Got about 650 ancient arrows now lol. Can't wait to get 999 and show my friend.
Instead of fighting guardians, I go to the “battlefield” in the fields near dueling peaks stable. It’s much safer but there aren’t as much ancient materials.

What I did to get a lot of parts was to learn how to perfect parry guardians and then headed my way up to hyrule castle after awhile I managed to end up with 5 giant cores,a few small cores, and TONS of the other types of parts
Also, you can kill a lynel with just an ancient arrow with literally just a blow.
But they won't drop their loot
Not really true. It doesn’t kill them, meaning you don’t get any of their drops, it just transports them to another location. Works if you’re in a bad situation, but if you’re trying to grind Lynel drops it doesn’t work.

From this method I only got ONE giant core and that was a lucky rare drop for me. If I recall correctly I got approx 2-3 ancient cores.

if you've found Kilton and got a Divine Beast, you can use a Moblin mask, or you can use Majora's Mask with the DLC.

If you need to fight enemies while carrying the torch, you can drop it on the ground. Just remember to unequip your weapon when picking it up again, or the fire will be put out.
Searching old mossy guardian "corpses" usually gives you some free ancient parts.
Just wanted you to know that you can ride your horse with a blue flame too

I have the stealth outfit and I snuck up behind that guardian below the lab with my Master Sword and killed it before it had a chance to do anything. I also went along the path and surprise killed most of those black monsters along the way, that way, when I got my blue flame, with a little speed elixir, I got the flame back to the lab without an issue, except I tried going down the path with the fallen pillar, which I wasted a lot of time on before figuring out that I had to take a different path.
When I was halfway through with the torch it started to rain XD

Fun Fact: These Lanterns stay lit throughout the game but Only the ones you light in the sequence... if you miss one, Finish the game, and light it later, when the game reloads, itll extinguish, but the originals you lit will stay burning blue...

I find the fastest way to kill guardians is to combat them on horseback and when you can see their eye then jump off the horse, pull out ur bow and ancient arrows to slow down time (which gives u more accuracy), and then just aim and fire. this once took me around five seconds to do.

I used a horse to get the flame back, I avoid walking. It's also very easy to kill that guardian if you have a decent bow. You can just sit on the rocks behind it and it can't hit you but you can hit it. Just fire arrows at it until it dies.

One more thing, when you kill lynels you'll get the 5 shot lynel bow on certain ones. Now even though it shoots 5 arrows, it only uses one in the inventory:) you probably know that but just in case.

News Featured parrying doesn't use up durability
Well... My knight's sheild broke while "parrying" a slash from a savage "lynal" sword mid fight. I'm Not sure if I spelled those correctly.

“A simple little task” until it rains every 5 minutes.
Here's a hint: Go trash that Guardian before you fly over. So long as a Blood Moon doesn't happen, your path will be clear. You could also go along that whole route and kill all the monsters rather than run around them, but at the very least the Guardian won't be zapping you. This is not a nitpick about this fine video, though, which has helped me and countless others.
I understand hacking off the legs...but when its immobilized a single shield parry will take it out.

there is a path on the right that is much shorter but requires the you light your arrows with the blue flame. plus you can kill the guardian before hand as well

I am fairly new to this - my sons made me play! But as a retired high school teacher, I just want to tell you that you are truly an AMAZING conveyor of knowledge! I have watched more videos as a "student" of this game than I care to admit - many by people who clearly do not have your STEP-BY-STEP teaching skill. But when I finally stumbled upon YOURS, I knew I had the right teacher to get me where I need to be to impress my offspring. Just one question - WHERE is your video walkthrough on Vah Rudania?!?!? Uhhhhhh, no, that dude is decayed. Btw you can parry the lasers without putting the flame out. When you lift your shield and focus on the Guardian, since a torch is a one-handed weapon, Link will hold the shield up while keeping the torch up as well :P
I wasn't the only one (of course) but here's what I do besides shopping the legs off. before you approach a walker guardian, try to shoot it at its eye to stun it. then chop the legs off. I usually get real close to it and shoot it with normal arrows but with a lynel bow and it'll kill it fast without spending your ancient arrows

another great place to get guardian parts is the maze shrine quest right near robbies shack, and some ?temple? near tabantha that you can get directions to if you complete every shrine.
A good tip if it isn't raining, you can also do this with a horse. Just swing the torch while on the horse at the fire, then ride straight to the cliff.
I've been thinking - how well do Ancient Arrows work on Calamity Ganon ? I'm thinking of doing a double-assault - maybe start off with ancient bow and arrows then whenever he falls to the floor, I may go in with the Master Sword. (When I get to that point though - which could take a while...)
These videos are so useful, this one especially. I just need to get some cash and light the blue furnace and then I'm going to make this game a LOT easier for myself.
What I do to perfect parry the guardians is get a couple pot lids, and right when there eye turns blue, say “one” as fast as you can and right when you finish saying one in your head, parry. I don’t know why but it usually works for me. Not so much on guardian watchers though...
Btw. You can take the right path when going back. I did and it lead me back to the road he takes anyway. There are multiple of the big torches along the way.
And I thought going to Fort Hateno was smart, going to Central Hyrule is genius!

The guardians were responsible for many of my deaths early in the game. As soon as I got the ancient arrows and armor, and the Master Sword, I started a quest of revenge! So satisfying to one-shot the stalkers after they did the same to me in the past.
.-. Sometimes it works....but only because I was pulling this trick in Hyrule Castle, too. Which was a big help. Guardian farming got easier. :D

Honestly, my best farming area for Guardians is the northern labyrinth up off the side of Death Mountain; there's like, ten down in the lowest levels, and I got myself enough parts to get about two dozen arrows at a time. Also, the Master Sword, even if you haven't finished the trials, glows and gets strong enough to do 60 damage when Guardians are around, so that helps if you want to save your Guardian weapons for Hyrule castle.
Wow! who would a thought there was an easier way? I actually did this by killing everything in sight first before wasting so many arrows lighting each one at a time...even from afar... it seems the game is built so you could a pulled this off in many ways. Even when it rains shooting an arrow thru a blame lantern targeting another lantern was great practice and amped up may aim with precision. So by the end of it all I became a pro with the bow and arrow to say the least. I'm def going to try it this way next time. thanks
My current (first) playthrough of the game has been brutally bare of Core Drops. I've killed +6 guardians in a row and not gotten any cores. it's been absolutely painful trying to get any ancient Gear. I've managed to (barely) scrap together enough to get my armor fully upgraded, but the cores were always the limiting factor as i have absolutely TONS of all the other mats (except large cores)
