i tried it last year and I got a hybrid hen and a cock. However, the hen died this February in an epidemic that swept my flock. But the cock survived and has grown into a very beautiful thing and it's fertility level is very high. I love the thing. It is the father of about 60 of my chicks.

Mzee chicks thanks a lot for the knowledge. Bro I got kinda confused, which eggs do you put first, do you put the old eggs first or the new eggs? Which eggs are supposed to be on top? Lastly after collecting them are we supposed to put them on the tray with the airspace facing up or down?

an egg stands a higher chance of hatching when the incubation begins before 14 days since it was laid.

We disinfect all materials in poultry to reduce the rates of disease transfer from contamination,to disinfect is to kill all micro organisms responsible for causing diseases (pathogens) we kill them because if we don't kill them we may hatch diseased chicks which would end up dying of disease attack plus the mother hen ,since she sits on her eggs,she loses weight and starves alot if we don't save her from pathogens, disease may kill her fast,we use different disinfectant chemicals like JIK,OMO,NOMI,AERIAL, CHLORINE,NOROCLEANSE, MUNICIPAL JEEZY,VIRUKILL etc
