My dad was one of four young men who had a 15-minute radio program of quartet music - mostly old hymns - in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the 1920s. I was born in '44 but I knew about that quartet so, of course, I thought of Dad as having a great bass voice. The congregations of which we were members when I was a boy probably only sang this song a few times a year but I LOVED hearing Dad sing the bass part.
@@billionaireconcepts1095 No. After the Lone Star Four quartet moved from Texas to California, the name was changed to Kings Heralds. Dad's quartet never sang outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania so far as I know. If he told me the name of the quartet, I don't remember it. Also, that quartet in Pittsburgh never made any recordings. It was all live music on the radio 15 minutes every Sunday for a while. Congregations of which Dad was a member would sometimes sing this song, however, when I was a boy. What a treat!
jim232011 I was seeking out the best version of this song as background music when I record evangelizing on college campuses. This just might be the one. Thanks for starting this channel and may God be with you always.
This song brings back pleasant childhood memories. One day Jesus will come. Come Lord Jesus come.
