Thanks for the info on software control. I am using my GoStream to bring HDMI sources into my ATEM Mini Extreme SDI. (Via an HDMI to SDI converter). My cameras tend to be SDI based. The HDMI sources are typically Computers, and players. I have also used the GoStream for smaller standalone productions. Great little machine!
Hi there. I cannot figure out how to install the module for having the GoStream Deck show up in companion. You said “follow the instructions,“ but there are no instructions, and I’m not sure how to do it on a Mac. Osee sent me a Go-Stream Deck Duet and instructions, but those instructions are not working. Wondered if you knew how to get this working since you are using the companion plug-in
Great informational video. I noticed in the software version that the preview was on the right side and the program was on the left side. Is it possible to change that? Also, is it possible to record to another source along with the SD card?
the way I do it currently, is thru the PC. I record in OBS (but you can use whatever software you'd like i suppose) so SD card is recording and then OBS is recording thru the PC
I just setup Companion on a Raspberry Pi. It appears to be working as well as my Companion on Windows. I was able to add the GoStream device files to my windows setup successfully. I want to add it to the Companion Pi as well Does anyone know how I would add the device files for the GoStream to the Raspberry Pi? I don't know much about Linux. I did see a companion folder (Assuming that is where all the files and directories are) from the command line, but cannot CD into it. I get permissions denied. Any ideas?
Dude: There are MULTIPLE requests from people that I'm certain you would LIKE to "follow" you about how to get the software to load onto their PC. Not one answer from you though. It would even be okay if you answered us back and said you had no idea HOW to do that....but to blow us off? Not cool man.
Some time I see these comments.. and some times I forget to follow up. I apologize. A simple search through the Osee Website will get you to the software. Here's a link. osee-tech.com/pages/gostream-pc-software I'll make sure it's in the description.
@@EverydayTechTV I appreciate your reply...but....I've downloaded that file AT LEAST 5X. It is "installed" on my PC. When I click on the GoStream.exe. file, it then pops up with "NO DEVICE CONNECTED" My GoStream most certainly IS "connected" via LAN port to the router that is on the same network as the PC laptop (Windows 10). The screen also says "Create Stream XML File". No explanation...no instructions in any documentation that came with the device....Is it necessary to create a "Stream XML File" in order to have the software get installed on my PC? I don't even know what the heck a "Stream XML File" IS .... I realize you don't work for Go Stream - but you are the ONLY one who I can find ANYWHERE on TH-cam OR at OCEE corporate HQ that is willing to TRY to answer these type questions....and I'm pretty sure that I am not the ONLY knucklehead out here that is confused and ready to toss this POS through the window....

So how can you get the updated firmware if you don’t have Facebook? Not everyone has it you know. Should I just not purchase this unit???

Thank you - really helpful piece... Just purchased the GoStream DUET - very nice neat little panel... Have liked and subscribed.

Is the GoStream Duet version (with SDI/NDI) worth buying over the standard Deck version?

does it have a auto switch source? if i wanted to program it to swtich sources every 10 seconds.
It definitely doesn't have it built in. There might be built in Companion. Either way, I think it would be a little bit involved.
Quick question. Can you use web overlays with the GoStream?
The GoStream itself cannot do overlays. You need to bring the overlay from another source, either through a computer connected through HDMI or NDI.

How to add logo in osee gostream
Great info thanks patrick.
how did you get the software
Where is the plugin????
Why does osee make it so difficult to get control software? It should be easily obtainable on there site! Facebook? Really?
