I’ve been doing my low porosity for over a decade and this was the most informative video on TH-cam.

I'm 35 and whenever I tried growing my hair, it always started looking very dry and products felt like mud in my hair. Lately I've learned about porosity and followed your suggestions and I can say that my hair looks healthier now. Thanks a lot!

This was so awesome, I normally don’t comment but I couldn’t help but say how much this helped me understand my hair and now take better care. Thank you!

This was super helpful! I'm not fully gray yet but I'm 34 and have more and more gray all the time. My texture is getting more wavy as I age and I've been struggling to style my hair. Also, I refuse to dye my hair I'm just gonna let it go gray. Your hair is beautiful! ❤

Thank you so much, and I’m so glad I could be helpful to you!! 🎉 I so wish I had just let mine go without dye because I then would have been able to watch nature take its course. Your hair is lovely, it will be wonderful to witness the transformation. 🌟💎 Shine On! 💎🌟

I felt like you were talking about my hair specifically! Do you recommend any professional treatments for smoothing? I’m avoiding any kind of Brazilian or Keratin treatment but I’m struggling with effects of humidity.

Hi @@tiffanyshabanian1842. When you find the right conditioner that your hair will absorb usually smoothing comes along with it. If you have natural waves you might consider encouraging them rather than fighting them. A conditioner and or leave-in that contains silicones, specifically amodimethicone, can also help with smoothing.

I dont understand how you are damaging if you let it air dry?

There was a study done on the best way to dry your hair with the least damage. Surprisingly, in the study they found there was damage to the cell membrane complex of the air dried hair.
With low porosity hair, you can potentially damage your hair if it takes an incredibly long time for your hair to dry. For instance, it can take four to six hours for my low porosity hair to air dry. Any natural fiber can experience water damage, this would also hold true for hair.
You can air dry your hair, just make sure you help speed up the process a little by using a microfiber towel to soak up as much water as you can and maybe sit with your hair under a fan where air is circulating or if you live in a warm dry climate go sit outside (not in the direct sun) to help speed up your dry time.
Some people will likely never experience this damage depending on how healthy and/or strong their hair is. But if you notice breakage and split ends air drying could be a culprit.
