    Troll or not a troll?
    Dude, that is meant to be an exhaustive 1/2" socket set. It's got it all. It's a nice case. 1/2" sockets take up space. It's not Tekton's fault that your Walmart toolbox can't hold it.

      for a "Walmart" box, it ain't bad; and the drawers are deeper than most name brand boxes

      I too buy socket sets based on their case dimensions and not solely on the performance of the actual sockets! lol.

      @@JodyHeaththose cases are heavy. I would rather have a ten dollar tool bag and a few rails. I don't care if a couple sockets fall off in the bag.

    Lemme get this straight. The cheap blow molded cases that everyone chucks in the trash because they are all equally crappy don’t fit in your particular cheap tool cart so you’ve made a video about returning the tools that come inside the case?

    Is this for real? You’re reviewing a socket set based on the case? Then you’re going to return them after using them?
    This is what our society has done to people... 🤦

      Partially bought it for the case. A spot for every tool helps keep my tools from walk'n away with sticky fingers

    I have the Sunex mertic set and the other 2 Tekton chrome sets you have. I'm a Mobile Mechanic. I'll be buying the Tekton 87 piece. The Sunex cases have a softer blow molding that allows the smaller deep sockets to slide out of place. Also the Sunex case hinges are trash. They are the flexible plastic type and the Tekton are real hinges and latches with a steel rod thru them. (2 piece hinge) The Tektons are also better organized in the case with each deep next to each corresponding short socket. That is time saving in itself instead of looking in the cluster of short sockets to the right in the Sunex. The ONLY drawback to the Tekton set and i mean ONLY is it needs more extensions.

    • @davidgomez5116
      @davidgomez5116 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I was thinking about that too and I'm like man I wish the tekton came with the extensions that sunex has

    • @Freakingstang

      Mobile service tech. I use the tekton chrome sets in 1/4” and 3/8”. For impacts I much prefer sunex. Been using them for 4 years since all my high end stuff was stolen. Not sure what you’re doing with the cases, but I work in a lot of well and gas sites (off-road and pipeline access roads) and haven’t had any issues. I also have them stored flat, not standing up.

  • @norge696

    boii.... Those sets are not meant to fit in drawers. They're made to be complete and on the go travel cases.

    • @JodyHeath
      @JodyHeath  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yup, should have done my homework better on the case dimensions; for the non-professional wrencher as myself, I just can't justify having a separate drawer set and on-the-go set; so, the happy medium, I guess, are the impacts with the cases that fit in my box, AKA, the Sunex impacts (albeit with a marginally more inferior Sunex than the Tekton tools). Don't like the choices.

  • @thwaller4955
    @thwaller4955 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yeah... I understand what you are saying, but you are buying tools, not cases. Those cases were never meant or designed to fit into a toolbox like that, it is a case meant for external and separate storage of the set. When you pace tools in a toolbox, that toolbox becomes the case. Not sold on the TOOLS because of the CASE?

    Also some guys recommend CRMO like sunnex vs CR-V sockets like HF, neiko and tekton. So they say Molly is better than vanadium for impacts.

    I know at least for Tekton the sets like these are much cheaper then buying individual smaller sets.

    For the Tekton 1/2" set do the sockets fall out when you open/close the case since it is a double sided blow molded case?

    • @Pauleh123
      @Pauleh123 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Tekton boxes are better than average, but all of these blow molded cases pop a few sockets out every once in a while, and if you open it the wrong way you have quite the mess on your hands (no matter which brand).

    • @overlordgaming752

      As my friend already said, always keep it the right side up, don’t carry it like a suit case. Blow molded cases suck ass, no matter the brand
