I just love the spirit of the Groom and his lovely Bride ... I SO wish them well on their journey in life together... one could pick points on aspects the Groom picked but his Bride just laughed and embraced her Groom's joyful uplifting spin on the wedding plans ... great folks including family & friends.

I'd sacrifice the 5k. No way. Last thing I'd want is some tacky party city store wedding. Ps: bridesmaids usually pay for their dresses & yes food trucks are cool for people leaving. Weddings aren't college parties

This bride is amazing she handled the groom’s decisions so well he was selfish in the fact he gave her nothing he knew she would have wanted prayers she will stand strong for some of the desires she wants through out her live with he and that they’ll be blessed and happy forever

This groom only focused on the Mardi Gras party theme that he wanted and didn’t consider adding any elements that the bride would enjoy as well. smh.

The lollipop photobooth was so sweet 16s/kids birthday party, can't believe the wedding panner suggested that. Everything else was tacky, especially the center pieces.
It's very enlightening to know that you see chocolate on a stick with a funny portrait of self & you scream sweet 16ish ,Your Highness.
I guess you prefer those useless McDonald's ish trinkets that eventually end up in goodwill shops. As for the tackiness you spotted, I can imagine your persuasion , so I won't even waste my time on THAT topic. I can smell some things from afar.
photo booths are fun at weddings. Combination of entertainment and a guest gift. Better then the mints or stupid monogrammed crap nobody wants.

He does seem like a nice guy but at the same time he seemed more focussed on what he want. I would never pick a one shouldered dress unless I knew for sure that's what my finacee wanted. Safer to go strapless, cap sleeves, sheath, long sleeve whatever. The bride is slim and would look good in ap aper bag. I appreciate it is up to the groom but he had some information I believe at the beginning of what she liked. masks, big feathers, colorful and showing in a flashy way was not what she communicated. His choices were not worth $5000. the day was about the groom in this case. Not much compromise.
I think this is wonderful. She wasnt the bridezilla that you see nowadays. It was about trusting the one you love and rolling with it. Does it really matter in the end? They obviously love one another to accept each others differences. This is a great example of how weddings should be.

He purposely & selfishly made decisions involving his likes, & not her preferences. NOT a good way to start a marriage. The bride took it well, but she sacrificed her wedding vision completely. While the groom got a Madri Gra poteeen party. Smh, not worth the $5K boost!
A great way to start a marriage also includes being free to be yourself with each other ; laughing with & at each other without fear of upsetting egos; teaching each other new ways to enjoy life without fear of starting WW3....the list is endless
What you perceived as sacrifice, others may see it as compromise. She is a busy law student & her priority ( she willingly stated) was her studies. Planning a wedding is supposed to be fun and relaxed, it is not performing brain operation.

A beautiful couple and a lovely attitude towards their different preferences. Colourful DOES NOT always equal tacky. I have seen enough overspending on pretentious airs and graces to look a certain way whilst hiding ugliness inside.

He did an amazing job on her dress took her out her comfort zone but it looked like a fun time for all.. Honey moon up next I say the Mr did a great job blessing on their union.♥️🍾🥂
I am not sure taking someone out of their comfort zone on THEIR wedding is amazing. I actually kind of thing this is scripted or he is encouraged to create conflict. But taking it as it is he was disrespectful to the Bride's wishes. He should know her better it is always what he wanted. H wasn't thinking of his bride . The marriage is doomed if this is ihis real personality. The problem I have with him is that he isn't even tryign to give the bride what she wants. It is all Andrew -he wants a party, he wants color he wants things Andrew way. He kind of deserves a kick in the crotch to wake him up.

@@angiemaggard5089 no, there are certain aspects that are all about her: dress is definitely about her, but the wedding is about both. It's selfish to just do "everything" for one person only. So whether it's the groom planning or the bride planning, there has to be consideration for one another.

Even with the promise of an extra $5k, my husband would never so much as plan a small party. The groom was so excited about everything! I think it’s sweet and romantic. Plus, I’ve been to a million weddings and this one looks as though it would have been memorable.
I believe that he is just a very fun person despite the fact that he looks boring. Maybe it was good that he planned it, she looked beautiful,he did well.
He is stressing me out !!!!!!!! In all honesty, he really had pure love in his actions. It was all his choice. And that is beautiful ❤️ so happy for them!

Ok so I'm not the only one who saw that. This is making think that these things are scripted more than we think.
I'd trust my husband to be. We've been together over 15 years. I've picked the colors, theme, venue e.t.c. He knows all these things already. It would be a slam dunk. I have quite the advantage. He already knows everything I want, including the food. I've been planning the last 6 months. Showed him pictures and he has them, lol. Poor girl. Her guy didn't have much to go by. Would know better to listen to others advice. Mine knows me best.
I think when she saw how pretty the dress looked (and the bridesmaids' dresses as well) she was going to be okay with the rest of it.

If you’re goal is to give back to your friends and family that supported you getting to adulthood, I guess spending the price of a vehicle on a wedding is okay, but why do you want to start your married life in debt? If the parents are paying it’s fine, but if you are paying for the whole thing yourself on a college budget, just realize that 41,000 is about 2.5 years of mortgage payments and that 41,000 would be better spent as a down payment on a house.
If your family really loves you they don’t go near that kind of foolishness

I think it was unnecessary for the wedding planner to ask the dress alter lady to walk away for a minute. The bride has made it clear, she does not want to see the dress. I think the planner wanted to try one more time to convince the bride but it only made the bride more upset.
This is how it goes when you've got a BOY not a MAN planning the wedding! Cuz a mature grown man wouldn't be trying for the crayon box & feathers/masks at a WEDDING!!! It's a WEDDING not costume party!!! 😫

There are so many important days in a person's life. Just to mention a few...Graduation; Buying your first car ;Becoming debt free...the list is endless.

Mine could and actually did. I showed him numerous pictures of dresses. I made him pick his top 3. What's funny, his top 3, were mine. I just chose one of the 3 out of the pictures. My favorite was also his. But then again, we've have 15 years together. So he knows me and my taste, inside and out.

Actually get rid of the masks, ditch the cake (culld have saved a tonne of money going with a plain white cake decorated with freshflowers. Have a small groom and bride cake that could be crazy for Andrew. Make the photo booth colorfula nd crazy including masks.
