Perfect soundtrack, this game is fantastic.
One of my all time favorites as a kid. Still got it too. I liked to think the tracks were as follows:

Sand Ocean- New Mexico

i remember playing the Nintendo Super System version of F-Zero and i was very clost to reaching the finish line in first place, and just when i was merely about to cross it, the time ran out. btw, Capt Falcon FTW!
