Thank you! I didn't know that the rocker popped out of the switch assembly so easy and I thought I would have to buy a new switch. I was able to fix a very old coffee maker, so thank you!

Mine failed because the rocker wouldn't stay in the on position and my bench grinder would not power on. The contacts for corroded so I understand why it would not power on but I don't understand why the mechanism failed. I guess the crescent shape contactor got out of position somehow?

....probably isopropyl alcohol.
99% isopropyl alcohol it’s used also with electronics and pcb for cleaning a lower % will work with this project but use 99% for pcbs

It's better to Toss them as we get it for 3 to 5rs each, cleaning and solution cost more than replacement.....
These darn switches now cost at least $ 8 (illuminated versions) and nobody sells them except on-line !

Thank you. I opened my toggle switch and cleaned the inside, it does want to rock back and forth
I had to straighten the metal contact as well as cleaning it. So clean it, test continuity, if no luck try straightening the contact strip.
