great video. Why not use magnetic pen holder or can holder? - I use 10# magnets, they stick great and can move items as needed. another item i did was use a 1.25 x1.25 x24" metal angle with magnets to hold plates from being bumped off press
I thought about magnets, but all the magnets I have around the shop are COVERED in metal dust/shavings from cutting/grinding/welding...si I'm not a huge fan of magnets
When I was a kid, we had Liquid Wrench and it worked much better than today's wrench. Smelled different then today's as well. But still my go to penetrant.
@@kevinfilanowicz605 Just add one on the air hose you connect to the jack. I have one on the output of my compressor, and it always (for the most part) stays at 90psi
Everyone's a critic and got their favorites....I use what I have available, and usually just grab something while at the O'Reilly's/Autozone/Harbor Freight/etc
Wow! Finally some press mods that aren’t just a copy of somebody else on here.
I really like the movable shelf. That’s the first I have seen that done nice work.
I wish I could take credit for it. I saw it on a video, but I can't remember the channel...wish I could or I would give credit
I am in process of buying a press. Good tips and mods you suggested. See you one of these days at CAFB
CAFB? Is this the Jon Rice I've worked with?

@@MoonBuiltGarage can you do one where you add a pressure gauge? I already plan on buying the air/hydraulic ram
