F-117A Nighthawk Stealth Fighter 1/72 Revell 03899 Model Build | RWO Models

- Another Revell build, this time the F-117A Nighthawk in 1/72 scale. It was an instant buy and a rather quick project due to the low parts count and the simple anthracite "color scheme". I tried to focus on achieving a clean paint finish without any "major accidents", and in terms of weathering I sticked to the landing gear as well as the gear and bomb bays which received an oil wash to imitate dirt and oil stains. Of course I should have tried to give the large upper fuselage areas a bit of color variation and more details but I was actually quite happy with the way the model turned out, given my limited experience.

The F117 doesn't get weathered, the RAM coating is regularly inspected so it has to be cleaned for that and thoroughly cleaned when the RAM needs to be reapplied.

I've got that kit in the stash. It's almost like a snap together kit with a few glue on items. I'm probably going to sell it off at some point and buy a different kit if I decide I have to have an F-117 to display.
Yes, it's a pretty basic kit but being one of my first builds I was happy with how it looked back then. If I were to build another F-117 kit today I would certainly look elsewhere. Thanks for watching!

its a horrible kit to build so kudos to you for producing this. Nothing fits, and those cockpit windows are just ridiculous, waaaay to thick. thankfully it did

What colors did you use?
Sorry for my late reply, I used Revell Aqua Colors on that build but would not recommend them because I find them very difficult to dilute. There are much better options out there...
