    LYRICS:
I saw the fallen stars descend into the sea.
Reborn as fallen gods, they keep me far from heaven.
    Saviors revealed as the wretched.
The world is a corpse field, accept it.
Why is life a death sentence?
A coffin encasing our uncounted blessings.
And it burns, until the sky turns black.
Terrorized, inches from death, permanent threat, there can’t be compromise.
Never forget, a life of neglect leaves one dehumanized.
Loss and regret, the senses are ripe but the mind is paralyzed,
with a lust for earth to flood in sulfur and blood.
I saw the fallen stars descend into the sea.
Reborn as fallen gods, they keep me far from heaven.
    Acolytes, dealers of death.
A shortness of breath plagued by the parasites.
The bodies regress, abused and oppressed, the mind is weaponized.
Put to the test, the children of war will quench their appetite,
with a lust for earth to flood in sulfur and blood.
I saw the fallen stars descend into the sea.
Reborn as fallen gods, they keep me far from heaven.
Bastard sons of sin, birthed by the greatest arsonist.
They only let the light in to show us darkness is permanent.
    We are what you created.
An infinite expanse of pine boxes illuminate the sky.
    Keep me far from heaven.
    So far from heaven.

I don't get why FFAA aren't way bigger. They really transcend just a metal band for me. I can't really explain how their music hits me, but it does it in a different way. Can't wait for new music!

Because no one listens to metal. And that comes from someone who loves it.😕

    • @SorceressWitch
      @SorceressWitch ปีที่แล้ว +4

@@NSA.Monitored.Device That's not true and that's not the reason either. Metal bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb of God, Slipknot are doing well. They're asking why they're not bigger in deathcore as a whole.
Remember that most metal doesn't sound like deathcore, so not even all metalheads listen to this type of metal. However even within deathcore, they're not bigger, bands like Suicide Silence, Whitechapel, Lorna Shore, Slaughter To Prevail are big in deathcore.
You are looking in the wrong place if you are wanting non-metalheads to like this band. It needs to be asked why deathcore fans aren't listening to this band while they listen to others.
It's like asking why an underground rapper isn't bigger and looking at rock fans as the reason why when you would need to ask hip hop fans if they heard of that rapper.
Deathcore is on the extreme side of metal and not all metalheads like extreme stuff. I know some people who prefer the lighter stuff like power metal. They see stuff like this as being too heavy.
Metal is still a popular genre, it's just less popular than Hip Hop and pop. It's also seen as the fastest growing genre. People do listen to metal but that doesn't mean they need to like deathcore to be a metal fan. Metallica are very popular too and many listen to stuff like that.

    • @NSA.Monitored.Device
      @NSA.Monitored.Device ปีที่แล้ว +4

@@SorceressWitch Reality: "US music industry magazine Billboard has published its annual year-end chart documenting the 200 best-selling albums of 2021, and there’s not one rock/metal album released in 2021 on the list."
Even those bands mentioned are just a peak among many, many not reaching the surface. It's like when e. g. Heaven Shall Burn went with their release in 2020 to #1 in Germany and stayed there for ten weeks (I think...), battling with some more popular and well known solo artist who called them "some rock group out of nowhere". At the end of the year, in sales, it was placed #96. If there are 1.000, 2.000 people attending their concerts - it's a lot!
Some lame folk (or how it's called over here: Schlager) artist hits those numbers easily without any promotion. Sad, but that's the truth. I hope better times will come, like back in the 90s, because many bands deserve better. Till then it's Taylor Swift and others ruling the waves.

I hadn't actually heard FFAA before and this came up because I follow Nuclear Blast. The past year has been one of the most amazing for new music as so many bands have been writing instead of touring but even with the glut of amazing new music this song stands out. The complexity of the guitar riff in the chorus intro with the laid back bass not getting lost in the mix. Then after the chorus and verse they both kick into that pre chorus groove... perfection.

Sometimes, you need a gateway band to listen to bands you never would have before. An indie band called SinSeer from Texas was my gateway to enjoy the vocals here. Never could get into all the screaming, but once you can enjoy the rhythm and allow the lyrics to consume you, it's actually really good music.
Every genre has its season in life. This is the right time for me to enjoy my first taste of FFAA. Great work all around.

Damn! That was a great song, great video, heavy as fuck. These guys can play their instruments very well, but they don't try to showoff constantly. The song structure was unpredictable, and well executed and that melodically growled chorus (I'm assuming) was the cherry on top.
I'll definitely be checking this new album out. I'm impressed so far.
Also, I definitely wouldn't want to get into a shouting match with that singer.
