  • After using this Decathlon Forclaz MT500 Air for a few wild camps and hikes now I thought I would do an initial review video going over the main features and showing the bag and thoughts from first use.
Will do a follow up review in 6 months or so to see how the bag has fared from more hard use over the next few months .
So far a nice bag comfortable when fully loaded and seems robust enough but time may see that change!

Great review, we bought this for my daughter from decathlon for £95 and we were really impressed but your review made it even better! Thanks.

Does this pack make the maddening death squeaking noise? I saw a review of another Forclaz AIr that does exactly what the Osprey Zero Gravity packs do when they make noise

Nice backpack. I use the Forclaz Easyfit. It's interesting seeing the differences between them.

I have the 70li one. It doesn’t have the sleeping bag compartment at the bottom. And yes, it has a mesh pocket on the sides to hold stuff like tripods or poles in.

could you go a little deeper in what you are carrying on that backpack?
How much camera gear or which small camera bag/insert is that?
    how much clothes and food?
I'm wondering if this backpack would be enough for 3-5 days backpacking with some camera gear.

    • @CameraCampTrek
      @CameraCampTrek  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Hi for me I know its big enough for 5 days etc but obviously we are all different with what we use and like to take. I have done a 3 night trip with it and I had everything I needed. Spare change of clothes and merino wool leggings/top for bed. Food I took enough packs of dehydrated for each day and breakfast also various snacks for the day that all went int he top pouch. I use a small and light cooking setup which uses the speedster alcohol stove . The bag for my camera gear was just a cheap one form amazon I just looked to add the link for you but it appears they dont do it anymore but it measures 27cm L 15cm W 15cm H. I take 3 lenses and one body in it ( Fuji XT2 and lenses). They do do a 60L version of the bag if you needed slightly more space. Hope that helps

      @@CameraCampTrek Wow ! Thank you.
And good thing we use the same camera so even better comparison hahaha
I'm not entirely sure of my landscape kit yet.
But probably something like 10-24mm, 7artisans 35mm (this is tiny) and 70-300mm.
A few variants could go in there such as the 16-80 or a viltrox13mm.
But I'd try to mainly carry as little camera as possible since I find carrying too much makes me take less photos sometimes.
From what you are saying, it seems like my kit would fit in there.
I'm still trying to find the pieces for it all.
      Thank you for the feedback!

Hey I've got this one and it's a beast. 1 body, 2 lenses, Drone plus controller, batteries for everything, chargers, and clothes/underwear for 3-5 days + tripod. Of course I wouldn't take all that with me hiking and staying overnight outside, but I use it as my travel bag when I do work abroad and need to carry equipment + personal items in one bag.
