The main event was great, but it should have been a little bit longer. Those two teams have some chemistry together, and they could have a really great match with a little more time. Jon Cruz/Serpentico is small and not a great athlete, but he is a talented professional wrestler. He never seems to have a bad match with anybody. He deserves to be on the roster. He's earned it. Chaos Project is one of the most entertaining teams in professional wrestling right now. They're an odd and accidental pairing, but it works. They compliment each other very well, and their gimmicks work well together. Both guys are better together than they are apart. Serpentico is small, but is a really good worker. Luther is old and not a great worker, but he has size. They are able to accent each other's strengths, while covering up each other's weaknesses. That's exactly what a tag team is supposed to do. I wish AEW would let them go on a little run before Luther gets too much older. They are one of the most consistently entertaining teams in wrestling, and every one of their matches are different.The purpose of wrestling is to entertain, and they are great at it. Chaos Project rules!

People forget, in my opinion, he had nuclear heat when there were crowds but to me the very best heels keep kayfabe and i think having a vlog nowadays sometimes cools some of that heat if you're likable, like Sammy.
Daaang, those were some seriously good matches! As for unsigned talent, I really enjoy seeing El Australiano and Nick Comoroto (and Bear Country; even if they weren't on this episode of AEW Dark). On a side note, I'm a bit heartbroken I can't vote, just because I'm in The Netherlands, it seems, while I've been supporting AEW since day one. 🙁
Two things I hate about AEW is Luchasaurus wrestling like a damn middleweight highflier, he needs to lose the damn kick pads, become a big strong heel like he is meant to be, and the second is Scorpio Sky beating that monster of a guy not sure of his name, at least have him face a same size apponent .
I love that move where Luchasauras puts his boot into his opponent's chest, and then uses it to shove them to the mat. It literally looks like he is just stepping on a full grown adult while they are standing up, and makes him look massive and powerful.

Check out some highlight vids if you get the chance, he'll be getting wins sooner than a lot of the other lesser known names who've been around a while on dark allready. if aew does trios him and TH2 would be incredible.

Shanna isn't quite as bad in the ring as Big Swole, but she's pretty close. It's bad when you botch your own finish. If you can't safely use your finish on a particular opponent, you use a different finish. Once again, why is Shanna facing a jobber that is a foot taller than she is? If it's a squash, it needs to be against someone that doesn't look like they could kick her ass, and it needs to be someone she can actually perform her finisher on without looking terrible. It's common sense. The purpose of a squash is to make your star look good. You pair them with someone that is smaller or weaker looking that they are. If your star isn't a great worker, you pair them with someone who is good enough to cover up their weaknesses. You don't pair a weak worker with a green job girl that is a foot taller than she is. Who is booking this? If it wasn't for Shanna's ring gear, I would be really pissed off after this match.

I'd like to see Sammy/Hager as a tag team more often. It's almost similar to when Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash were a tag team and eventually became tag team champions.
Reckless high-flying is the perfect term for it. Australiano kicked Sammy square in the face when he did that flip to the outside. These guys that mimik Lucha are so annoying. Luchadors do a lot of flips and aerial moves, but they take the time to set them up and lay them out properly so it resembles a wrestling match and doesn't look like a fucking gymnastics routine. As Dusty Rhodes once said, "Do not do shit that you do not know how to do."
He was off balance on that too rope to the outside flip, cause when he tried to stabilize himself the top of the post is a camera. Threw him off. It was a good match. Not great, but doesn't deserve to be shit on. Let the dude get comfortable with an AEW ring then talk shit. Lol

Sammy Guevara Has "it", and he will definitely be a star one day. I'm not saying he doesn't have talent, but he is not ready for the position he is being put in right now. He just doesn't have enough experience yet. He doesn't understand pacing. He doesn't know how to lay a match out. He doesn't sell very well. He will learn it in time, but he is still really green. I don't know how long you have been a fan, but go watch some of the WCW Cruiserweight matches on the network, and you will see what I am talking about. They did a lot of the same stuff, but they only did it when it made sense to do it, and they didn't spend a long time setting it up beforehand. They guy taking the move would sell something on the outside until the flyer was already in the air before he got in position to catch him. They made it look realistic. Anyway, as it pertained to this particular match, I was talking more about Australiano than Sammy. The fact that someone studied under a Luchador, or worked in Mexico does not make them a Luchador. I took Chemistry classes in high school under a trained Chemist, but that doesn't mean I know how to do Chemistry.
I know that it sounds like I hate AEW, but I don't. I want them to be successful so badly, but some of their decisions just don't make any sense. Nick Comoroto is a perfect example. I understand that not everyone can be a top guy, but not everyone can be a job guy either. Comoroto is not a job guy. He looks like he could kick the shit out of 95% of the guys on AEW's roster in a real fight. He looks like a professional wrestler. He has a great look, is in great shape, and is a solid worker. He works exactly the way a guy that looks like him should work. He is completely believable, and could have debuted as a top guy. I haven't seen anything from him that would lead me to believe that he isn't ready, so I don't understand why AEW is using him the way they have. While it isn't unbelievable for him to lose to Scorpio Sky, it was nonsensical for him to job for Jungle Boy a couple of weeks ago. It makes wrestling look fake as hell. A job guy should not look better than the star. It doesn't work. AEW is missing out on a huge opportunity with this guy, and I don't understand how anyone in the business cannot see that.
Their booking decisions are awful. AEW has Leyla Hirsch, the best women's wrestler they have under the age of 30, getting totally punked on Dynamite by Penelope Ford. They had Cody in a 50/50 match against Warhorse, a random dude from the indies no one cares about. Cody just had a match against Peter Avalon on Dynamite - Avalon should absolutely never be on Dynamite. They routinely make terrible booking decisions and don't take advantage of their talent's abilities. Luther should never appear on Dynamite in a million years yet they keep letting him wrestle despite the fact he can barely move at this point. The talent level is much higher than the quality of show AEW puts on. I keep watching because there are too many things I like to just give up but they desperately need to get some people involved in creative who know what they're doing. Because Tony Khan as head booker is not cutting it.

I agree that Luther should never be in the ring for an extended period of time by himself, but I do like Chaos Project though. As a team, they are one of the few things I do like on AEW right now. It is very clear that Tony Khan does not need to be anywhere near the book. If you can't even book squash matches correctly then you should not be booking, and don't even get me started on what they are doing with MJF.
I know Sammy Guevara hasn't been in the business long, but does AEW not teach these guys how to sell at all? El Australiano took several seconds to set up the spinning move off the turnbuckle, and Sammy is standing straight up and staring at him nearly the entire time. Sammy had enough time to leave the ring and make it back to the dressing room before he delivered it, and yet he still didn't move. If you are going to do a spot that takes that long to set up, then at least lay on the mat and sell something until the guy is ready to jump. If you are going to stand up early, then you keep your back to him until the last second. You don't just stand there and stare at him. This is shit you learn in the first week or two of wrestling school. I don't get why so many guys in AEW have this problem.
If you want to see it done correctly, then watch how Comoroto sold Scorpio Sky's Missle Dropkick at around the 30 min mark. That's how it is supposed to be done. Comoroto never looked in Sky's direction until he was ready to jump.

Top Flight are about two to three years away, but they are stars. AEW needs to keep them on Dark, and have them work with experienced teams and good workers as they gain some experience. If they do that, they could make a lot of money with these guys down the road. If they try to rush them now, they could ruin them for good. AEW needs to be patient and let them develop at their own pace and not try to force it. Navarro is extremely small, but he could definitely be one of the centerpieces of a Cruiserweight division if AEW ever forms one. He's got talent.
Yeah, I don't know much about AEW's Training facility. But they could use something equivalent to the performance center. Though I know money for such a facility may be an issue.
I like how there was a hint that Luchasaurus was in a bad mood for whatever reason and none of Taz, Excalibur really touched on it. Absolutely love them but I was just waiting for a "If you notice the foul mood Luchasaurus is in....we don't know why." or something.

I'd like to see Sammy/Hager as a tag team more often. It's almost similar to when Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash were a tag team and eventually became tag team champions.

Reckless high-flying is the perfect term for it. Australiano kicked Sammy square in the face when he did that flip to the outside. These guys that mimik Lucha are so annoying. Luchadors do a lot of flips and aerial moves, but they take the time to set them up and lay them out properly so it resembles a wrestling match and doesn't look like a fucking gymnastics routine. As Dusty Rhodes once said, "Do not do shit that you do not know how to do."
He was off balance on that too rope to the outside flip, cause when he tried to stabilize himself the top of the post is a camera. Threw him off. It was a good match. Not great, but doesn't deserve to be shit on. Let the dude get comfortable with an AEW ring then talk shit. Lol

Sammy Guevara Has "it", and he will definitely be a star one day. I'm not saying he doesn't have talent, but he is not ready for the position he is being put in right now. He just doesn't have enough experience yet. He doesn't understand pacing. He doesn't know how to lay a match out. He doesn't sell very well. He will learn it in time, but he is still really green. I don't know how long you have been a fan, but go watch some of the WCW Cruiserweight matches on the network, and you will see what I am talking about. They did a lot of the same stuff, but they only did it when it made sense to do it, and they didn't spend a long time setting it up beforehand. They guy taking the move would sell something on the outside until the flyer was already in the air before he got in position to catch him. They made it look realistic. Anyway, as it pertained to this particular match, I was talking more about Australiano than Sammy. The fact that someone studied under a Luchador, or worked in Mexico does not make them a Luchador. I took Chemistry classes in high school under a trained Chemist, but that doesn't mean I know how to do Chemistry.

I know that it sounds like I hate AEW, but I don't. I want them to be successful so badly, but some of their decisions just don't make any sense. Nick Comoroto is a perfect example. I understand that not everyone can be a top guy, but not everyone can be a job guy either. Comoroto is not a job guy. He looks like he could kick the shit out of 95% of the guys on AEW's roster in a real fight. He looks like a professional wrestler. He has a great look, is in great shape, and is a solid worker. He works exactly the way a guy that looks like him should work. He is completely believable, and could have debuted as a top guy. I haven't seen anything from him that would lead me to believe that he isn't ready, so I don't understand why AEW is using him the way they have. While it isn't unbelievable for him to lose to Scorpio Sky, it was nonsensical for him to job for Jungle Boy a couple of weeks ago. It makes wrestling look fake as hell. A job guy should not look better than the star. It doesn't work. AEW is missing out on a huge opportunity with this guy, and I don't understand how anyone in the business cannot see that.
Their booking decisions are awful. AEW has Leyla Hirsch, the best women's wrestler they have under the age of 30, getting totally punked on Dynamite by Penelope Ford. They had Cody in a 50/50 match against Warhorse, a random dude from the indies no one cares about. Cody just had a match against Peter Avalon on Dynamite - Avalon should absolutely never be on Dynamite.
They routinely make terrible booking decisions and don't take advantage of their talent's abilities. Luther should never appear on Dynamite in a million years yet they keep letting him wrestle despite the fact he can barely move at this point. The talent level is much higher than the quality of show AEW puts on. I keep watching because there are too many things I like to just give up but they desperately need to get some people involved in creative who know what they're doing. Because Tony Khan as head booker is not cutting it.
@@joni1405 I like Leyla Hirsch. They could definitely get something out of her if they had half a brain. I agree that Luther should never be in the ring for an extended period of time by himself, but I do like Chaos Project though. As a team, they are one of the few things I do like on AEW right now. It is very clear that Tony Khan does not need to be anywhere near the book. If you can't even book squash matches correctly then you should not be booking, and don't even get me started on what they are doing with MJF.

I know Sammy Guevara hasn't been in the business long, but does AEW not teach these guys how to sell at all? El Australiano took several seconds to set up the spinning move off the turnbuckle, and Sammy is standing straight up and staring at him nearly the entire time. Sammy had enough time to leave the ring and make it back to the dressing room before he delivered it, and yet he still didn't move. If you are going to do a spot that takes that long to set up, then at least lay on the mat and sell something until the guy is ready to jump. If you are going to stand up early, then you keep your back to him until the last second. You don't just stand there and stare at him. This is shit you learn in the first week or two of wrestling school. I don't get why so many guys in AEW have this problem.
If you want to see it done correctly, then watch how Comoroto sold Scorpio Sky's Missle Dropkick at around the 30 min mark. That's how it is supposed to be done. Comoroto never looked in Sky's direction until he was ready to jump.

Top Flight are about two to three years away, but they are stars. AEW needs to keep them on Dark, and have them work with experienced teams and good workers as they gain some experience. If they do that, they could make a lot of money with these guys down the road. If they try to rush them now, they could ruin them for good. AEW needs to be patient and let them develop at their own pace and not try to force it. Navarro is extremely small, but he could definitely be one of the centerpieces of a Cruiserweight division if AEW ever forms one. He's got talent.
