I’m going to have to tell you that this did something really good inside my heart. Something good that hasn’t been there since I was a little kid. I am so glad that I stumbled across this video. Instant fan!
Stan I come back to your creations a couple times a year and adore your work. You’re right about going to stores and seeing everything at the store through the lenses of “I can use this in a dollhouse”. Inside of the Psycho house there is a tiny scale version of a farmhouse dollhouse just like the 1/12 scale farmhouse my grandparents built for me. Mine is a duracraft.
These are gorgeous! I make miniatures, and know how much time and creativity goes into them, and Stan's work is fantastic! I love that he furnishes the houses, too. It really brings them to life.
Stan, your houses are fantastic. They are so beautifully done. I'm so glad I saw this so I can start looking at your vlog. Thanks for sharing these wonderful houses. I hope you have a great day.
Something that people may look into for making miniatures is railroad models. They have kits for everything at a much cheaper price that can be made to many different sizes and degrees of finishes. Just a thought. My Dad belongs to a model railroad club and some of the things he's made over the years are absolutely stunning and amazing in detail. These kits would help with cost and time. They also have journals and magazines with how to's for inspiration and my Dad has published several articles in these magazines. The conventions have pre-made peices and kits for sale and are held all across the nation. Again, just a thought. Stan's work is phenomenal. I'm highly impressed. Makes me want to start playing with my house my Grandpap made for me as a girl. He hand made one of a kinds for each granddaughter before he passed. They are treasures in our family. I need to start decorating my house again!! Thanks for the inspiration!!
Wow, thank you for this insightful suggestion! Model railroad kits are indeed a fantastic resource for miniatures. The level of detail and craftsmanship in the model railroad community is truly extraordinary. It sounds like your Dad has not only been a part of this world but has also contributed significantly with his published articles. What a talent! Stan's work is indeed incredible, and it's heartwarming to hear how it stirred up memories of the unique house your Grandpap made for you. Such treasures carry a legacy of love and craft. Here's hoping you find joy and inspiration as you embark on the journey of decorating your house once again. Keep those family treasures shining, and thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! Warm regards, Rachel & Team
I enjoyed watching ur Patty play pal show. It was awesome! I have a Shirley Temple Patty and Peter. I am trying so hard to find a ball jointed Peter. I decorated my home with dolls and have lots of fun doing it!
I made my first doll house two years ago for my first great granddaughter. Scaled it to work with 8-9 inch dolls. I also made the furniture and appliances and a fireplace. The house is fairly simple but she loves it!
absolutely LOVED these...I've just started making miniatures for my new dolls. I've taken over one shelf in my sewing room, one cube in my storage shelves and used an old hat box as a bedroom. If anyone remembers The Borrower's I've styled my miniatures on this idea. I love Stan's use of material. I teared up at the inside of the church. That was one of my dream homes which never materialized.
You're a amazing artist, truly a talented blessing from God!!! ❤️. Thankyou for sharing your amazing work. You have truly inspired me and I'm sure so many others 😄
I've been doing this for years using wood or cardboard....it's amazing how much packaging ,trash n junk becomes parts ....becomes alive!I have a lot of trouble with tape wiring...but they sell battery lights too....I have images of homes too ...I use resin furniture because it has realistic character .and mouth rinse cups I use also..lol.....I learned some more ideas, this is truly my addiction! thanks!
Wow, these are amazing! This has certainly helped me with creating a backdrop for my 18th century doll costume project," Lady Flora Jackanapes". I want a Vauxhall pleasure Gardens atmosphere. Now my dratted frog hopping creative mind is leaping forward, before I've finished the current phase of work. Thank you for these videos.
If there is anyway ANYWAY to get a note to Stan, I am huge into reupholstering dollhouse furniture. Restoring wood pieces, sewing new pillows cushions, bedding, whatever. I would love to fix up some furniture for him. I'm also really good at making working lighting. I'm not looking for any gain, I would just love to make something to add to what he is making. Happy to help if he'd like. Blessing to all and thanks for showing these!
Hi Rachel, I have been binge watching your videos lately since I found them. I love everything you do and your personality and everyone you interview, just amazing people! Wish I could meet you all and be friends! We have a lot in common 😊 Stanley I love these houses! thank you for sharing 🥰
You are absolutely right, you don’t recoup the cost, but making model homes a room box or dioramas has kept me sane during lockdown. Your talent is amazing. This was a brilliant vlog, well done both of you. (I have been doing really well with miniatures sellers on eBay, they are all independent, you develop a relationship with them if you are a regular customer, and this year they’ve been so appreciative that I usually find goodies in my order and discounts or free shipping.
What a wonderful talent .He is humble to I don’t think he truly realises how beautiful and unique his houses are.I never had one as a child but love seeing them .Thank you for sharing 🥰
he should start a youtube channel.. if he's not making money on the houses, i'm thinking he'd make his profit on patreon by just turning on a couple cameras while he's working and then adding a voiceover after he's finished.. that said, thank you for featuring so many different creative/knowledgeable ppl on your channel, or else we would never have known about many of them..
I love building houses I understand the addiction I built 15 houses during lockdown. I have so many now I build and gift them to my kids friends instead, we’re making a shop to hold mini brands right now and a drive through next
that is what dreams are made of!...I have always love old houses I know Stan have love the old house I live in it was Mansion from 1890....I love his work....
So these are basically poster board, dry wall shims and paper dust and glue? I'll have to try my hand at a simple version. I love how clean and nice these look and also that they are light weight. I'll have to buy a Stan Gregg house someday soon.
He does not have them for sale on his website. He is going to sell at the Denver Museum of Miniatures sale this summer. We have a couple of his houses listed on our website as well.
I love the Dollar Tree too, I get a lot of things there to re-purpose, I'm the same way with everything I look at, turning it into a miniature. I heard Dollar Tree is going to raise their price.
This man is so humble and seems a very friendly soul. He just emanates sincerity and enthusiasm for his craft. What an inspiration.
He is all the things that you said. ❤️❤️
