Located at Stª Apolónia station, this new 5-star unit recovers part of the historic station building, and the Preceram Group actively contributed to this recovery, intervening from the beginning of the project with technical consultancy and plasterboard solutions. Gyptec and Volcalis mineral wool, in order to modernize the building while also increasing its acoustic comfort.
With a total of 126 rooms, the new luxury unit in Lisbon is the result of the rehabilitation of part of the train station, opened in 1865 and represents an investment of 12 million euros, which allowed the transformation of the approximately 10 thousand m2 of construction distributed through the east wing and upper floors of the station's central body in the new hotel from The Editory Collection Hotels group, owned by Sonae Capital.
The Editory Riverside Santa Apolónia Hotel also makes a strong commitment to sustainability, being recognized by the BREEAM* certification, to date only awarded to two hundred hotels around the world.
* BREEAM - Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method, developed by BRE (Building Research Establishment) in the United Kingdom in 1990, is the first international assessment system, which allows measuring, classifying and certifying the degree of environmental sustainability of buildings.
