Centrale FS is a station on the M2 and M3 lines.
The station opened on April 27, 1970 (M3 section opened on May 3, 1990).

The train station is very impressive, that's right!

Centrale Stazione has changed over the years that I visited Milan, so much so that parts of the station of September 2011 bore little resemblance to the same one of July 1997 when I first visited.
Line 3 (yellow) at min 04:21 has more bright undergound stations than Line 2 (green).
Yes, I noticed that too!
Probably it's because Line 3 opened 20 years later when more care was taken to make sure that there isn't such a dark atmosphere in the stations.

At one end of the M2 platform at Centrale, there is a free transfer to the M3 with no need to exit. I went there in September 2000, as well as early as July 1997.
