    • @MrKT410

@OGItachii no. A team winning alone isn't evidence a single player is contributing to the winning. For example Steve Kerr and Robert Horry have 5 and 7 Championships. Are they the biggest reason their teams won? Of course not. They were good role players but won because they played with all time great talent. In the case of Russell, he certainly made his team better but joined a team that had already been to Finals and had multiple HOFers. He was arguably the best player of the 60s while also playing for the best organization & coach.

I think Lebron will hold his record for a very long long long time. These days player is so weak. Due to load management, player only play 60-65 games in single season. Assuming lebron will finish around 40k points, a player should average more than 30 points for 20+ season to beat the records. Basically you talk about a player with Jordan's ppg number having Lebron's physical fitness.
Until now, no player tick both criterias.

This is the question. What is the GOAT. This is a common problem in communication. The same word means many different things to different people. For me, all stats and accomplishments aside, the GOAT is the one who could do the most amazing stuff I’ve ever seen. In any sport or anything. The greatest ever is like Neo in the matrix. So far, for me, MJ is the GOAT. Lbj is one of the greats and probably the most statistically accomplished. But for me, never the GOAT. Best in his generation? I’d agree with that too. But there’s only one GOAT. Somethings MJ did LBJ physically can’t do. Nothing that LBJ does is something MJ couldn’t have done. If you wanna define a difference, that’s it. 48” vert. 4.2 40 yard dash. Played almost every game. Didn’t flop n overact fouls. Probably the most competitive mf’er to ever exist. Giant ass catchers mitts for hands. He’s the best that’s ever been 🤷‍♂️ It just is. Mostly only the younger generation that grew up watching LBJ think he’s best. He’s the best they saw. I’ve watched both careers in full. And LBJ is a great. But not the greatest ever.

To answer their question...it's not 1 particular thing to be the greatest. It's actually a combination of things----winning (will-to-win), clutch (shooting, rebounding, passing, FTs, defense, etc), accolades, accomplishments, domination, stats, bball IQ, leadership, scoring (ball-in-hand, catch & shoot, transition, FT, inside, etc), passing, rebounding, defense (man-to-man, passing lanes, help, steals, blocks), efficiency, fundamentals, footwork, athleticism, speed, quickness, go-to move, post game, endurance, stamina, body control, agility, hands, creativity, handles, strength, hang time, move w/o ball, great off hand, play well through sickness/injury, etc, etc, etc.
There's only been 1 player that can fit into all of those categories (and more).

    • @X5J2UY

Literally NO player has ever fit your description and never will...because it's impossible. THE Goat doesn't exist. It makes no sense to compare era's and theorize what player X would do in era Y.
