- AmaBhungane claims to have banking records collected by forensic investigators corroborating some of former VBS Mutual Bank chairperson Tshifhiwa Matodzi's affidavit. Matodzi alleges that he paid R1 million in bribes to the ex-National Treasury director-general Dondo Mogajane to intervene in the barring of municipalities from making deposits into VBS. If the forensic investigator shared information outside the scope of the court order, it might also contravene provisions related to the lawful handling of evidence. We must start having this conversation that we do not have investigative journalist, PERIOD!
