Thanks! this was very helpful for me. And yes, the value 11 is of 85 percentile i.e. the value 11 is greater than 85 percent of the entire data distribution under consideration. That's amazing, I understood it.
Hi Krish.. first of all I am thankful that how beautifully you are clearing concept. This is much easy way to grasp everything you are teaching. 11 is grater than 17 values and n is 20. so 17/20x100 = 85 percentile. It say 11 is grater than 85% of entire distribution.
Thankyou so much 👍you are great teacher of stats in hole online platform That amazing this video ............ As we calculate 10 ie 16we just add 1 and we get 17/20*100=85 percentile

Thanks a lot for the valuable time that you use to make this kind of value-adding content. And the value 11 is of the 85 percentile i.e. the value 11 is greater than 85 percent of the entire data distribution.
The Percentile of 11 is 85 ,,, ( 17/20*100= 85 %) Thanks Sir for this Playlist, i am getting lot of lot knowledge by this playlist, i am a student of Data Science,,,,,,, ❤
Krish, FIRST OF ALL THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING WHAT YOU DO🙏, you cleared all concepts so well, your videos are really helping many like me I'm sure as I can see that in the comments. A question /request, if you may please solve. I have taken a different dataset for percentile on your questions, but finding some issue on evaluating though have followed the EXACT STEPS AS YOU TAUGHT HERE. So, can you please perform the exact questions of percentile& finding value at 25 percentile rank for the given dataset- {1,2,3,4,4,4,5,5,5,5,7,8} ? P.S.- Anyone passing by this comment is welcome to solve this. It will be helpful😊
we use inter quartile range (iqr) to remove outlier from the sample data set . the whole concept revolves around how can you remove outliers so that you can generate insights from the raw data.
1) number of value below 11 is 17 2) size of dataset is 20 percentile of 11 will be: (17/20)100 It would be 85 percentile That means value 11 is above of 85% data/value of entire distribution
If we cal percentile for the last term, which we know is 100 %ile then the val does not match 19/20*100= 95%ile is coming... pls correct if I"m doing something wrong...
here two 11 s are their ,18 th position and 19 th position ,which we have to take ,i got 85%tile and 90%tile ,which we have to choose ?can any one help me ,THANK YOU
8:05 real answer is 90 Count of data points which are less than or equal to 11 is 18. So the percentile Ranking will be 18/20×100 = 90 Thank you so much 😊
For the question "What value exists at percentile rank of 25?" we got the index 5.25. Then we should be doing [5th index value + 0.25 (6th index value - 5th index value)]. But he said , we calculate the average of 2 numbers in this case.
firstly we reached to this 5th index bcz we got 5.25 ..okay now for 5.25 we've reached at index 5 but .25 which index doesn't exists that's why we calculate average 5th index and 6th index value 5+5/total no.of value(2) = 5 which is 5 that's why answer is 5th index value. i hope you understand
I am confused actually. I got 2 answers either it will be 85 percentile or will be 90 percentile. As there are 2 -------11 in the data set so which position shall we consider?? someone, please answer.
95 percentile is the ranking of value 11. Percentile Rank = (no of values less than equal to x + (o.5 * count of x) ) / total count * 100 = 18 + (0.5 * 2) / 20 * 100 = (19 /20) * 100 = 95 11 has greater value than 95 percentages of the values in the dataset
Thanks! this was very helpful for me. And yes, the value 11 is of 85 percentile i.e. the value 11 is greater than 85 percent of the entire data distribution under consideration. That's amazing, I understood it.
85%
@@ankitajain249 85 percentile it is, not the percentage!

you are great krish
Amazing explanation sir very helpful
Great teacher.
Nice explanation thank so much sir
Thanku so much sir for your efforts❤
Sir 11 is greater than 85 percentile of the entire distribution
Thank you very much sir, you're the best teacher for data science ❤❤
thank you so much sir. You explained me very easily
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
we use inter quartile range (iqr) to remove outlier from the sample data set . the whole concept revolves around how can you remove outliers so that you can generate insights from the raw data.
The number below 11 are 17 so as per formula 17x100/20 which is equivalent to 85 percentile.
Thankyou for the explanation sir💯
very nice explanation 👍
very informative ,thnku sir
very nice and interesting..Thankss Krish!!
Nice .loved it
8:32 can we not use the percentile formula here as well like
25 = x/20 * 100
25 = x*5
x = 25/5
x = 5
5 is the value at 25th percentile
It means there is no such concept of 100 percentile??
in a exam if all student gets equal marks the then all student is at 0 percentile🤣
it is necessary to find percentile dataset must be in sorting order??
Sir it is percentile or percentage in quartile
From where can we get questions for practice? Can you suggest some sites?
Thank you Sir
Lovely lovely sir
8:00 the percentile of 11 is 85😊
Sir here we have two values as 11 then how we can calculate the percentile rank plz tell ?
why there's difference between the percentile of same value? plz respond
what if we find the percentile of 8 in above given data set!
hi sir how to get that notes of this playlist
Thanks so much Sr
1) number of value below 11 is 17
2) size of dataset is 20
percentile of 11 will be: (17/20)100
It would be 85 percentile
That means value 11 is above of 85% data/value of entire distribution
Krish sir Video background is awesome 🤩
is playlist ke notes keha pr available h ??
8:53 why "n+1" why not "n"

Thankyou
8:07 . Percentile of 11 is 85
bhaiya can you pls teach data science for class 10
8:05 percentile value of 11 is 95 percentile
17/20 = 0.85
0.85 * 100 = 85
(85) This is persentile
85ans
What value exists at percentile rank of 100 ?
It will be 21st value and there is no such value. So, what would be the answer ?
Percentile rank of 11 = (# of values below 11)/ n * 100
= (17/20)*100
= 85
8:05 real answer is 90
Count of data points which are less than or equal to 11 is 18.
So the percentile Ranking will be 18/20×100 = 90
Thank you so much 😊
Bro values less than 11 is 17 only kindly check it out
Please upload all videos
82.5 % explanation: take the repeated value postions and do the average in this example (16+17)/2 = 16.5/20 × 100 = 82.5
85 percentile i.e "11" is bigger than 85% off elements in the data set🎉
8:13 (11 ----> 85 percent of the entire population se bara hai).. this is the answer...
percentile of rank 11 is = number of observation 11/n*100=17/20*100=85 percentile
Value of 11 is larger than 85 percentile of entire distribution
17/20*100 = 85 percentile i.e. the value 11 is greater than 85% of dataset.
10 is 80% greater than of the entire value or 10 is 80 percentile greater than of the entire value pls clear
Assignment solution:-For rank 11
(17/20)*100 = 85 percentile
Percentile= (Number of values below or equal to the given value
/Total Number of values)x100
percentile (18/20)x100
=90 percentile
85% that means 11 jo value hai vo 85% of entire distribution sai zada baddi hai
percentile value of 11th is 85th. please validate my answer.
11 is 85 percentile of all the numbers in the given dataset.
Percentile of 11 is 85 percent. It means number 11 is bigger than 85 percent of the given dataset
For the question "What value exists at percentile rank of 25?" we got the index 5.25. Then we should be doing [5th index value + 0.25 (6th index value - 5th index value)]. But he said , we calculate the average of 2 numbers in this case.

Answer mere 2 aaye h 85 aur 90
95 percentile is the ranking of value 11.
Percentile Rank = (no of values less than equal to x + (o.5 * count of x) ) / total count * 100
= 18 + (0.5 * 2) / 20 * 100 = (19 /20) * 100 = 95
11 has greater value than 95 percentages of the values in the dataset
take lower ranks from 11
85 is right answer
