I was born on the 19th of September the same year BUT while I was learning the ABC's of training and volleyball, this dude was getting medals on the WORLD STAGE. Like damn, we have the similar height and the dude is only one day older than me but is ABSOLUTELY holding his own in a field of monsters. What an inspiration.

Anybody can spike, but not everybody can set.

Great setter. Guys when he tips the ball at minute 1:02 the OH of the opposite team did super bad. Did not block the front row setter and was going we do not know where. This setter made him look really bad. Check it out.

Back then, my school was full with people with just 170 max and I was 173 and I played as MB. I always thought that I will always play MB but now at my University, I went from MB to liberio. Oh, how I miss those days.
Those day when I thought 180 was tall
try playing other positions too. being short is a disadvantage, but you don't have to be good at one thing. work on your vert and be spiker or over handers and be a setter. just play what ever makes you happy.

Is 173 considered small in volleyball? I play volleyball and I am only like 3cm taller at the age of 15, though I don't see my height difference to the taller players at 190cm make much of a difference. I can block, spike around the same height maybe not exactly as high but close. I don't really think being shorter than someone in volleyball as a disadvantage more like a goal to compete with the taller players.
