a lot of your ideas are things i've discovered personally and things i've read/researched. adlerian psychology says that happiness comes from the thought that someone is useful. some good books to read are: "courage to be dislked" and "letting go". once i realized all the negative thoughts about myself weren't my fault, i was able to forgive and love myself. i'm currently in the process of 'reparenting' and building confidence in myself. i had an absent father and an emotionally absent mother growing up.

A lot has blown up in my face the past week. And i’ll be honest I cried a great amount watching this. I cried bc I haven’t been authentic with myself. This was a really good video. Im so happy somebody else talks about these things. Its very important ESPECIALLY in this day and age where men arent treated right anymore. Im really sorry to hear about your father. That is a very heavy thing to have to live with. I hope you have found some peace and closure. My dad had a TBI when i was 9 years old, but he survived, although It completely changed his personality permanently. I still love him and always will but its hard to talk to him because his mind doesnt work the way it did.

Wow it felt really refreshing and so good to hear something speak from this kind of standpoint. I only realized until a while ago that I was really deep into the algorithm of any woman/man connection, hookup, how to get woman, whatever kind of thing and hearing to be your authentic self (which I can resonate with) was certainly good to hear. Many other things Ive heard I was already critically viewing, however I was still interested in the topic itself so it really consumed me and all this alpha male, be like this, ego boosting thing made me kind of sick and my daily meditation and things like salitude and the thinking that comes along shifted my values to realize that what they say really isnt what im striving for. And i’ll be honest I cried a great amount watching this.
I cried bc I haven’t been authentic with myself. Not bc of the alpha male red pill stuff u mentioned but bc of childhood trauma making me feel unheard and making me feel like I have to prove myself to everyone.
The way I walk, talk, drink water, get in and out of my car. Like
Ive NEVER noticed it, but I hate my self for not being myself. I feel like so much of what Ive done is artificial. Luckily i can look back and see how I acted with some people IS authentic. Its strangers and when im in public where it goes bad.
