The Kenyan shilling from its 100/1 sh/dollar exchange has literally lost 20% of its value. That means if you were to buy a vitz at Ksh. 500, 000 before tax, now you need Ksh. 600, 000. Don't compare US to Kenya. US can settle its loan by printing more dollars. It controls the dollar. Kenya has to earn dollars through foreign exchange. But sadly, Kenya imports more than it exports.

Corruption started going out of control in kenya in 2014. As soon as uhuru and Ruto got in government. Not after the handshake. Look at the corruption cases between 2013 and 2017 and compare them to the ones between 2018 and 2022. Which period had more cases.
Prices of things were affected by the corruption that took place between 2013 and 2017. The loans you took that you didn't need had to be paid. In 2018 you had literally no money to pay those loans and you had to increase revenue to pay them and get more loans. That meant increasing taxes. Which meant an increase of prices of commodities.
Then price ya unga and oil were hit harder by the war in Ukraine where you get your wheat. Na that has affected the prices of things world wide.
The problem with you people is you talk alot without knowing what you are talking about. You were fooled by Ruto and his gang to believe the problems were from the handshake when in reality the came before the handshake thanks to both uhuru and Ruto and those around them. And you voted for the side that had the majority of those who were around them. 🤷🏾♂️ Then you were told eti mambo ya dynasties 🤦🏽♂️ Raila spent his life fighting the moi and kenyatta family. His father spent his life fighting the kenyatta and Moi family. Ruto benefitted from both of these families while Raila was fighting them. Yet you listened to him and his mambo ya dynasties. 🤦🏽♂️
