@WhiteGirlJessica yeah because I saw 2 black guys beating on a woman in front of her kid some years ago, and I stepped in to help her. Anyway she ran off while I dealt with the 2 crack head dudes and come to find out she called the cops on me and said I was trying to rob her and her friends and I got arrested asap for assault and attempted robbery. I was stuck in jail for 6 months for something I didn't do and my bond was set so high I couldn't bond out. So while I'm inside, I meet a guy in there wanted for MURDER.... He killed people! Yet he bonded out in a PR bond while I was stuck inside when I didn't even kill anyone. They release killers before they let anyone else out

I just cracked this case!! From the way he has a bubbly, well-kempt sister and mom, it tells me this kid was not a thug robbin people and up to no good. Also look at his jacket in the last slide. He’s gay, and I have nothing against gays, but he’s a Peter Puffer. Tackling tight ends on and off the field. So the white guy is an actual thug, but he started to hookup with this guy under wraps, didn’t tell noooobody. Anyways, the black guy got pissed at him one night and told him he’s gonna tell tell errrybody what’s really going on behind closed doors. Dude freaked, panicked like crazy. What I cannot understand is the backlog of cases which are taking years to reach an outcome. This situation happened in 2021 and we are now in 2024. What is happening within America that a case cannot come to trial and reach an outcome within a year? The family of the deceased cannot have closure until this situation has come to an end. Makes me relieved that I don't live in America. It may be advanced in some areas but very much backwards in others.

I’m glad that the family got justice despite the judge lowering the defendant’s bond twice.
EDIT: Ugh, never mind. Two seconds into his sister's big ol' psychopathic grin and I see poor Corey came from an environment where he didn't stand a chance...
So horrible. Of course it's in no way justified but it's sad that Corey Thompson didn't know better than to hang out with people who are out on bond for assault. Parents need to teach their kids from a young age to stay away from violent people. It starts with having a mutually-respectful family culture in the home, but it also includes explicit lessons in avoiding violence and a willingness to forbid your kid to hang out with risky people. If you've brought up your kid with a lot of love and an idea that rules are there to protect them and an expectation that they'll respect your rules, you stand the best chance of teaching your kid to avoid a fate like this.
