Not only is it heavier but they need to have the wiring running up their backs, and in case the headset failed it's a nightmare to switch out. They also had a box with spare packs at the front of the stage. I agree though, it detracts from the choreo ( I would have preferred a headset mic during Rosé's solo stage) but I assume they're doing what feels best for them to deliver a dependable performance. (all artists dread mic failure as it becomes a TH-cam viral video immediately)
