Saint John Chrysostom one of the best scholars and blessed person in 3rd century . I always rely on his books whenever I need explanation of the bible . Peace to every from Eritrean orthodox church.
What an inspiring video. It moves us to be like him in this age which is exactly like his time- The authorities are against us and Christians have grown lukewarm.

Saint John Chrysostom Saint John Chrysostom To me, he is a star I look at it every day So distant, so far, so bright Up in the sky Next to the Virgin Mary Saint John Chrysostom He was formed at the foot of Mount Silpio With humility, vigilance, and prayer He created the will to resist all evil And learned To rid himself of temptation From Sinai He was called to Antioch To give courage, enlighten hearts His blessed word was Divine It shone And taught the crowds From Antioch He went to the capital Eastern of the Roman Empire There was envy, betrayal, and so much intrigue That they conspired immediately Against his life But knives and spears could not touch him His poor people Were always there to defend him He was exiled, mistreated, and humiliated Which only Increased his Power Saint John Chrysostom He was a light in antiquity In the early steps of Christianity He is part of the Sacred Constellation Of the holy martyrs Who died for Jesus Christ
He was not anti-semitic. If you read his work on the Jews, he strongly opposed Christians following after the Jews in their feast days, fastings, and practices. The very same jews who opposed Christ, The Savior and Master, and denied Him, The Rabbinic Judiasm of his time, he despised. So I'd say, he had every right as Priest, Bishop, and Theologian, to have those strong words against those who united themselves to Christ, then spit in his face by joining themselves to the very ones who crucified him.
@@neame-bh3uq He was the Archbishop of Constantinople. Of course he was Catholic and believed in the primacy of Peter. His writings are used by Catholics to defend the doctrines. He was canonized by the Catholic Church and is a Doctor of the Catholic Church.

Such a great man. Shame that authorities treated him in such matter, fellow Christians!
And a shame you persecuted Christians, Antonius Pius, Imperator!
As they still do the people who truly follow Jesus.

Saint John Chrysostom
Saint John Chrysostom
To me, he is a star
I look at it every day
So distant, so far, so bright
Up in the sky
Next to the Virgin Mary
Saint John Chrysostom
He was formed at the foot of Mount Silpio
With humility, vigilance, and prayer
He created the will to resist all evil
And learned
To rid himself of temptation
From Sinai
He was called to Antioch
To give courage, enlighten hearts
His blessed word was Divine
It shone
And taught the crowds
From Antioch
He went to the capital
Eastern of the Roman Empire
There was envy, betrayal, and so much intrigue
That they conspired immediately
Against his life
But knives and spears could not touch him
His poor people
Were always there to defend him
He was exiled, mistreated, and humiliated
Which only
Increased his Power
Saint John Chrysostom
He was a light in antiquity
In the early steps of Christianity
He is part of the Sacred Constellation
Of the holy martyrs
Who died for Jesus Christ
THERE ARE NO WORDS.... ☦💓
Thank You .
Nice one !
Glory to god
Amen.
And the Lord said unto John: ‘Come forth and you will receive eternal life’. But John came fifth, and won a toaster.

Take the spear out wound still needs to heal.
One of the fathers of antisemitism.
Did He ever said anything about the Jewish fellow brothers?
Was he antisemitic person?
From what I understand, he was deeply antisemitic, which is a real shame.
@@zehzahl5988 anti-JUDAIC, against the Jewish faith

He was full of hatred towards the Jews. Read “ Anti.-Judaism” from David Niremberg.
He was one of the founders of the misery of the Jews.
Saint John Chrysostom was a Catholic, unlike the "Orthodox". He believed in papacy, because he was Christian.
No he didn’t 😂

@@ReapingTheHarvest 🤣🤣🤣 He was out of communion with Rome for much of his life!
@@neame-bh3uq So? Read his writings on Peter.
Exaltation of the cross??? That's not biblical.
