Arthur Baker and the Latin Rascals were on fire in 1984. This, "10-9-8", the "Out Of Touch" remixes, the stuff for Bruce, Cyndi. This and "Dance On Your Knees" were basically re-purposes of "Breakers Revenge", but man - They (and the "Too Much Blood" - Rolling Stones remix) had a WALLOP!
Looked for this jam for decades and now here it is !! I had no idea who it might have been or title. Sounded so Latin Rascals , Jellybean Benitez or Arthur Baker
This track I used to pull out for breaking contest, For those who don't know, Produced by the legendary Arthur Baker, (ie: planet rock co-producer)and brainchild of a lot of the 80's electro beat.Nice post-Ty, Blueman
Straight up b-boy stuff right here. That bass line. I have one worn copy from when it came out, and a fresh copy some years later from a used record store. Just in case I get some turntables again.
Awwww Yeeaaah.... 🔥 When punk music had sex with electro rock music, and had a baby. This is the outcome right here..!!!!! Strictly for the BBOYS 😎 battling here in Chitown in the early 80's.
The Latin Rascals are Gods to me. Arthur too. So incredibly groundbreaking and influential in mix/remix/electronic culture. As important as Kraftwerk or Eno.
