Rough estimation: Private school student: 6%, 10% of them would leave to state school (i.e. 0.6% of all students), while outstanding/grammar school: 16% of all schools/students. The ratio is 3.57%, and wait, if compare to total number of students "intend/compete" to enter outstanding/grammar schools, the ratio will be much lower. Also, there are many reputable "good" schools are "acceptable" even to picky parents, such as HK ones, I have seen. In addition, 10% of students would leave private to state schools - I believe its over-estimated when look into the actual increase of school fee. How much more parents would pay each month, a few hundred pounds? On the other hand, are all those private school leavers entitled to study in state schools, or they will just leave the country, or they just won't come to study? Lets look forward to the actual figures to be released.

State grammar school is free. But some private schools have the same “grammar school”. Be careful with that.
