With this seemingly being the final Macabre Island update (unless you two have anything more planned or come up with something), I think it'd be amazing to see a video with every track created for the Island (unfinished, cut, and used alike)... Maybe a bit more spread apart than usual. I noticed previous Macabre Island individuals videos had audio overlap when transitioning Monsters-
This new update of the island seems a little... Odd imo Lets start with our new pumpkin bat friend. Its composing/sound is amazing towards the song! However, my issue with it is that its either too loud, or plays too much. Let me explain. Imo its too loud in the song as it drowns out monsters like Mass and sort-of "leads" the song (Where I feel as though the "quint" of the song should have that role, Dvoynik). Its current role in the song is so impactful that when its not playing, verses like 1:29 Polina and Destortion's and 2:54 Dvoynik and Princess's verses feel much, much more empty. The transition between such verses feel out of place, which wasn't the same during the last update when Dvoynik made an apperance. Speaking of Dvoynik, its Dweller form sounds quieter compared to the last update. The new monster that came along with this update also seems too loud. I do appreciate its role as filler in Catrifying's verse, as it makes the verse a lot less empty. But at the same time its somewhat drowning out Catrifying itself. I think its sound should be toned down so its role is more similar to Posseidoll. Not to mention, It'd be nice to hear Kami better during that verse. Speaking of Catrifying, its new sounds are pretty decent! However, its new sounds also give a new tone to the song. The old ones fit better as "creepy", but these new sounds are more versatile. However its 2nd track's animations seem a little... Re-used. But then again, what else could you do with a floating cat head? Croaked's new animations are wonderful! It makes the monster feel much more alive than the previous animation. However one thing I'll note is that I'll miss one specific part of the animations. Its struggling animation when it opens its mouth and reveals the little cuckoo. It gave an unnerving feel to the monster when its struggling to open its mouth that wide. But then again, with its current animations, having its mouth expand so widely also gives it an unnerving feel to it. However would it be possibe for the animation to have both elements? Not Owl. My favorite monster on the island, and my favorite monster in your entire channel has had a change to its sound. Notably its bell sounds during its tranformation. Why was that removed? I feel as though it was unnecessary to have that erased from the monster. It gave such a creepy vibe to the song.
I love the new skins and Catrifying track. There's a mummy costume for Princess (or is that just a full redesign?), and masktrypo. ALSO IS THAT A NEW DOPPELGANGER TRACK?? OOOOHHH I LOVE THE OPEN-MOUTHED CROAKED AAAAAAAAAAA
Wow! I absolutely love the costumes, they are so cool! Also, the new seasonal looks so cool! It’s like horrifyingly ugly, but kinda in a cute way, like I would pet that thing, lol! I love all the new additions to the song! Fantastic work, seriously!
I'll admit I didn't watch this until after Remix but the lack of distortion definitely makes the song a lot better and some other islands (cough Cavernous Cavity) can definitely be made a lot better just by changing that. Aside from that, existing monsters were improved significantly as well (Catrifying in particual benefitted a lot from this, Dvoynik is also mixed a lot better). This is definitely worth using as a standard for future content, great work here.
