Make your own jig - thats what I did, anybody spending money on a Kreg version is nuts - at least this kit is just the cutters. Just your own cutters - the jig itself is common sense and can be made in an afternoon.
Interesting. Your "new" pocket hole jig looks an awful lot like the original Kreg Jig you used to demo for your brother at woodworking shows 20 years ago...
Richard McMurray Richard, I'm referring to the ORIGINAL Kreg Jig. They were aluminum with steel drill bushings. I've had one for almost 20 years. I also have a K3 that I've used on job sites for over 10 years. No issues with durability whatsoever. api.ning.com/files/Y-ZU-77c4mHsAhzEb5reOdyRb4YpB4MAjn2E1FpVj3w32NYWVuECIrfIyfTqdR00Tqyqw08iQzHDESPanzDirNZ*kXgKQQ2k/K2.jpg
Kreg didn't invent the "pocket hole". Furniture makers had been doing this for decades. "New" doesn't mean what you imply. It is "new to Sommerfeld's product line.
Mark Sommerfield is the Brother of the Craig Sommerfield whom owns Kreg Tools. Sommerfield Tools and Kreg Tools are both Family owned by the Sommerfield Family
I love sommerfield jigs but I also own the Kreg beading system and just watching this video I can tell that this sommerfield jig is no good and it looks very dangerous.
So how deep does the notch need to be for the 3/16 bead ?
What do you call that cutter that does the notch?
Do you make the same bits for 1/4 shank or do I have to buy a new router ...
jm: just buy a new collet. All routers have interchangeable collets.
thank you

The kreg jig is pretty handy though. Definitely overpriced, but if you're lazy, it's a quality jig.
Anybody see a reason why this wouldn't work with the tongue & groove system?
would have been nice to see a close up of the finished joint
What is the hp necessary for that moulding head?
What is the model number of table saw and router. I know is a delta hybrid. Thanks
Very slick setup. For a guy who build European cabinets this is scary!
