@Relaxing Walks I know the title of the channel is literally "Relaxing Walks"... But thank you SOO much for not editing out the lady posted along the wall at 2:26 lolol MADE MY DAY 😭
True. I'm already looking back as this was a year before Covid19 showed up. I Sincerely hope all of the scientists are wrong and that we are virus free soon.
You’re producing extremely high quality content that will be historically significant. In my opinion that’s an important mission and I’m very glad you’re doing it. Thank you very much.
How crazy would it be if people 100+ years from now looked back at this video the way some of us look at videos from the early 1900’s showing everyday life? It’s actually pretty neat comparing this video to some of the older ones, like the famous one recording Market St. in downtown San Francisco 4 days before the great earthquake of 1906.
The combination of the GH5, 8-18mm F2.8-4.0 lens, an external shotgun stereo mic, the raw and natural settings of the image, and a quality stabilizer sets a foundation to this style of film making. It's a perfect combination in my opinion. No editing or talking gives me the "you are there" factor. You and Rambalac are pioneers. Thank you for your work.
Nine Ball right on and thanks! Add strength, endurance and lots of money for the gear to that list. I usually hold up fine for the first 30 minutes or so, then my arms, shoulders and core start feeling the weight of the equipment. It’s a killer workout.
frank 4434 the camera, gimbal, microphone, field recorder and lens weigh in at about 8lbs. Which isn’t much weight outside the context of carefully holding it out in front of me for an hour. When I was in elementary school one of our punishments was to hold a dictionary out in front of us until our arms felt like they were going to fall off. It’s like that.
@@MightBeAPizza no I did not move 😣 sadly …. I can not find a Community college to transfer to the offers my program. Ones I complete school (1 year ) I will move .
Come to think of it, I’ve been living here two years and can’t recall hearing any car horns at all. I’m sure it happens, even in my videos, but I haven’t noticed. I can’t say the same for other cities I’ve driven.
I have seen a lot of these videos London, New York, Tokyo e.t.c like them very much, however North Carolina is the only place on earth where people actaully give peace signs and look directly into the camera lol nice
That walk through Raleigh was magical-it captures a moment when everything felt aligned. I had just moved there and was working in the glass building you see on the left at the 30:05 mark. It's amazing to have these memories preserved, especially from a time before everything changed. Thanks for watching and catching that moment of connection!
Excellent walk my friend! Really interesting and fun, it was a window to another city, and with a really lovely summer wheater! Big thumb up, have a nice weekend!^^❤️❤️❤️
I feel like maybe there needed to be a dry run the day before to map out the most inspiring areas. This reminded me of other cities where the downtown is mainly a business district so there's a huge lull between the daytime hustle and when actual nightlife begins. It seems like the interesting parts don't begin until about the 27 minute mark. Still it seems like a beautiful place to live.
Blujonny11 thanks. I work downtown in the area around Starbucks. There’s definitely much more to see, all the stuff I see on my lunch walks, and I plan to do more filming of Raleigh. Planned to do the Raleigh St Patrick’s parade and the Cherry Festival in DC, but Coronavirus canceled both. 😔. Let’s hope things return to normal.

@@RelaxingWalks Thank you, I'm thinking of moving to Raleigh from Philly. Is there any feedback you could give me about Raleigh? There's a lot of people moving there, do you think it'll be too much down the road 10, 20 years or it's no big deal considering I'm coming from Philly? Thanks again for getting back to me.
David Diehl we really enjoy it here. We moved here from Austin a bit over a year ago. I work downtown and enjoy the city and live north of it.
