Good stuff. Love his pocket presence. He needs to clean up the footwork a bit, caused a couple inaccurate passes. But his arm is definitely special. WRs dropped a few too many passes this game
Good pocket presence, real strong arm, throws decent under pressure, but need to work on that accuracy. He misses big with a lot of the deep ball especially with a clean pocket. Nice prospect, but needs time to develop.
Hes got potential, but also some issues. His ball placement is inconsistent at all levels of the field and he seems to fade near the end of the game. I think he's a middle 1st round player, but will probably be overdrafted
I'd go late 1st round. Reminds me a lot of Josh Allen but further along because of all the better coaching and resources he's had from playing QB from HS on up to NC.
As a WSH fan, please go to NE. In the redzone is where you evaluate the QB. Nothing here to see. He will struggle in the NFL. I see hesitation in the run. If you scare of these little guys wait til you play with da BIG BOYZ.
For his "Bad" game - I actually view this as a positive. At least 5 drops by his WRs & I counted 2 TDs in the 2nd half that were either dropped or had a flag thrown. Def needs to clean up his feet but as a bad game, he put them in position to win and tried to do a bit too much at the last play. A good OC will make him special
@@jefeseason4990he was very injured in this game. Suffered a high ankle sprain the week before that he played thru the rest of the season. Mack brown said he could barely walk during practice throughout the week. You can see it on some of his deep throws where he favors his leg
Mayes just throwing haymakers down field till someone finally catches one haha. after watching all his passes in 5 games I can confidently say that Maye has very rare arm strength but he’s lost in the pocket, throwing mechanics are slow and inconsistent he can’t pick up on blitz he reads his first option and if he can bomb it he takes off on foot or gets sacked. Maybe with a lot of work and grooming he could be something special. Also his coach his a a terrible play caller defense is allowed to blitz all with out fear of getting burnt so I’m sure that doesn’t help.
I see the potential with Maye but I think he shouldn’t be a day 1 starter in the NFL. Feel like he’s still very raw and has a lot to fix up with his game. He’s good but I think I for sure lean Jayden Daniels over him.
In a vacuum, his offensive line is trash, he was injured, and not a single receiver that can get separation. There’s just not much more you can do if your team is trash
Gimmie jj Mccarthy over him. Mayes really good but he's gonna need time to sit. Both have shit lines. But jj had more speed and just avoids pressure better. Maye goes wobbly a little bit with pressure. All in all I feel safer with Mccarthy being better purely bc drake will probably be forced to start for a bad team with a bad oline in Washington.

Most drops are his fault. You literally have to stop, turn around and wait for the ball when he throws. Or its flat out behind you
