Have owned many Minis and still think that that final sound track is one of the sweetest engine notes ever. I used to make the wife drive down the road in my 1969 1293 Cooper S with LCB so that I could listen to that soundtrack.. Feckin marvelous.
beautiful workmanship and an excellent quality video , the colour and modifications really suit the car , brilliant job thank you for sharing your work and passion
Wow awesome Retro Mini Cooper My had a Morris Mini Cooper Mk 1 Reg No XDL 861 in green with white roof back in the 60's he also had a spotlight on the back of his
I watched this video and moved to like button amd realised that I liked it before!!Amazing video...One day I will restore one rather than buying a new one! :)
oh my goodness i have literally just read the last miniworld magazine with your mini star in it on page 14 and then i go to watch TH-cam vids and watch this, so cool ! :)
Very good video and very nice work. I'm old enough to have restored genuine "S" 's ( is that english!) I think l probably " minivated" (that's how l described my mini's) in excess of 50. One man band. I live in Teignmouth may pop around one day. I think l saw your phone number in one of your shots.
RestoShack Devon just finished my sons Mg Midget in dark grey with dark red soft top was going to replicate on mini but lighter grey looks cracking. If you see one that looks exactly same as yours one day probably be me lol
@@cloudcrazy5156 you could put 10x5 without arches. They WILL stick out about 1/4" on top. More on the bottom sides of the wheel well. I think however that if you are not puting flares, you should go with 4.5. mainly because it will look more authentic and handle better. There is a reason why race minis use 4.5 rose petals or steelies in competition. The car handles better.
Calling this a "restoration" is an insult to the word. Nothing is original in this car, not even the engine which is a metro/mg engine judging by the valve cover.

Dave....... you were only supposed to spray the bloody doors up ;) lol sorry couldn't help myself! great build as always ;)
Very tasty except for modern looking seats....maybe cover them in leather?? Love the suspension and brakes
Nice build/What brand exterior mirrors are these?
Awesome Mini!!
Got few questions!
What is the roll bar cage in it?

Awesome job! Where did you get the Carl Howland carbon fibre wheel arches?
jetad thanks, the arches were made by the owners son, as he works at a local carbon moulding company
Would he be interested in making more to sell?
Hi what kind and size wheels did you use? Are these original Minilites?

in the 90s there is a british guy in manila building minis using fiberglass body...the business did not last long
What's a basic respray cost for one?
do the mk1 boot lids fit the later models?
As far as know they do, this car is a back date. It a 92 shell made into a mk1 tribute
Where did you find those racer aluminum floorboards?
Custom Made 👍
good car quel est le code couleur de la mini ? j aime beaucoup cette couleur !
What are the brakes in the front? If you don't mind.
KAD 7.75 " Vented rotors and KAD 4 Pot Calipers
thanks!
What colour grey is it?
Chris Stephenson tweed grey 👍
What arches?
Carl Howland carbon fibre replicas of original works Rally spats from the 60s
What's the specs of your minilite and yokohama tires?
Tires are Yokohama 165/70R10. Wheels are Milites 10X5. Not my car, just know the specs.
Juan Briz will 10x5 minilites look and work fine w/out any wheels arches or you would recommend 10x4.5 instead? I am not a fan orld wheels arches.

Great job on the shell, but a bit of a odd ball spec. not a nice little road car and not a competion car.
What's color is..?? Helpme! thanks
Saul Pazan y Sus Vallenatos tweed grey 👍
Nice looking car. If it's going to look like a mk one. Why not go out n out and make it look like one.
Do mine please mine is in need of bodywork love badly

Keith Grima the song was written for us by a local musician Steve Forrest
resto shack its almost as amazing as the car ;) great job, absolute masterpiece
Paint job is terrible! Where's the orange peel effect that BMC used to manage so easily?? ;¬)
as much as its ok to replicate the original, I don't like the fact that It's badged up as a cooper s
