It's interesting that the green cat deer thing runs in off camera and everyone else has teleported in. Being that they are an original character for this game, do you think they live in this multiversus universe where everyone is being zapped to. Also another interesting note is there's seemingly only one "villain" so far, and HQ more "does what she wants" then is consistantly "bad". I wonder if this means the bad guys could be unlocked through story?

The biggest part of this to me is Iron Giant actually meets Superman. The Iron Giant is one of my most favorite movies of all time and I think it’s so cool. I seriously want to try this game out.
I was really interested when they announced this ages ago because they only did it to confirm leaks, immediately stressed the slightly slower, team combat component, and talked like they had a pretty great idea of what makes fighting games fun. But then they just kind of went quiet. Which I think was the right call. The nickelodeon smash knock off was legendary bad. They let people forget the project, stop connecting the two in their heads. I feel like the team may actually know what they're doing and despite all previous experience with liscenced games... I am hopeful that this will be good enough to foster some sort of tournament scene.

You're pretty much right, its a platform fighter like smash and the sort, but with WB characters, not just animation, also a dev on discord said that third party characters could be possible, there's a reason they didn't call it WB fighters or something
The studio did they're best they could do with the money that they had for NASB Werner bros was way more willing to dump more money on Multiverse than Nick was for NASB unfortunately... But still you can tell ludosity put in A LOT of effort into the references in the moves and stages while trying to make the game difrenchiate itself from normal smash Again the game isn't the best looking and it's kinda clunky at times but that's because of nick rushing out the game and the upsetting budget but I personally have a blast playing it still! I commend the devs for doing and still doing what they can with the little resources they have.
Actually sad to see Iron Giant in the line up. Interesting cast otherwise. Also I also would love for a story mode - while Smash Brawl was not loved by many it's storymode was fantastic by getting seemingly random teams of characters to work together and this trailer gives off that same energy.
