To rent a room with a bed, and share the bathroom & kitchen it’s 800.00 dollars a month. It’s outrageously crazy!!! Utilities cable tv, cell phones, forget about it!! And dating ? I’m divorced 60’s. I might as well be dead.

Selling my house, my car, everything I own is a big step, however I don't have an emotional attachment to material things. So nothing is holding me here in Canada. Selling my house will give me access to half a million dollar immediately.I also have a government independent retirement fund that I don't need to touch for another 15 years, if not 20.
Financial aspect ain't a problem for me. I'm 53, single, free to do whatever I want. I don't want to get married. I'm torn with choosing between Vietnam and the Philippine. I won't know until I go and experience both. I'm curious about the tourist visa subject. Health insurance is another.

Are you kidding!!?? It costs every where I have been searching, 1550.00 dollars a month for a One bedroom apartment, And. 800.00 dollars a month for a bedroom!! 🤯🤯 and you have to share the bathroom & kitchen!!!!! 😮🧐😳🤯🤷🏻‍♂️. I’m in New York, the worst, but I’ve searched most other states the cheapest I could find was a one bedroom apartment for 1050.00 dollars a month, it just out of control here that it’s just crazy sick. I’m making plans to retire there this coming August, and I’ve never gone on a date site, But I watch ALL your videos and others like Pea an do on.

Hello David! I live in south Texas. I'm 56 and have been retired for 4 years. I plan on moving to the Philippines in 2026. I have been there twice and loved every minute of it. I was interviewed by Maya, Gio in the Philippines wife. It is her third or fourth most popular video. Go check it out. We were discussing using Christian Filipina as a dating site. If you will be moving there in August and are interested in dating right away, I highly recommend you pay the three-month subscription and begin your search now. There are many girls that will be interested in you and many more that you will be interested in. Take your time and set up some dates for when you arrive. Even if you don't meet the right girl for a relationship, you will definitely meet some good girls and it allows you the opportunity to enter the dating scene.

there are about 6 to 10 typhoons in the PH per year, mostly in the northern regions. for most of the PH, it's simply some rain during the wet months. rain for maybe a few hours out of the day in most cases.
as a side note, a typhoon has a circular wind pattern, while a monsoon is a prolonged rain without circular wind.

Agreed that Filipino cell phone plans are far cheaper than US/western plans. BUT you pretty much need to maintain a conventional US-based cellular number (not VoIP/internet based numbers) for banking purposes as they insist on sending passcodes via SMS for “security” reasons... so you’re really paying for two services, one of which is expensive. Am I missing something?

japan is also very affordable. however, personally.. for several reasons i will never entertain living in china. i would choose vietnam or japan, myself. and i did live in vietnam for a year, 2019, in several cities.
most expats i've known who lived in china more than a year did enjoy it. but they eventually left china after their work visa expired. the political climate towards americans and lack of human rights even for chinese, limits on internet, 'tofu' bad construction of buildings all incline me to give china a hard pass for the long term.

@@Lifebeyondthesea we visited Bohol a few weeks ago but just the Alona Beach area, seem like a nice place. We’re currently in Mactan island but I’m sick of driving here (we have a small car), seems like every time I get on the road I have close-calls with scooters and people just stepping out in front on the car constantly. I feel like I need to leave Cebu to a less crowded area - if there’s such a place. I do want a reliable hospital in the vicinity tho.

a budget of $3,500/month is plenty for a family, on most any island aside from maybe makati city. not a problem.
while prices have gone up in ph maybe 8% over the last 2 years, it's nothing compared to the rate of inflation in usa. ph is still the clear winner for cost of living.

No Taco Bell I heard from someone ? Having - some - "comfort food" should help with the culture shock and getting adjusted to the many changes smells and the humidity ? - - - This video really got me thinking !!! -?- 🤔

i think too many guys complain about 'noise' in the ph. the city isn't much more noisy than an american city. and out in the province, like where we're at.. every day it's quiet and peaceful. no barking dogs or karaoke like people keep complaining about.
it can happen, sure.. just like in usa you can get some neighbor who blasts their heavy metal or rap music all saturday afternoon.
as for comfort-food, being on keto diet that's a rarity for us to dine-out. we pretty much avoid fast-food and pick restos that have meat and veggies available, or soups. there is kenny-rogers roasters here, so we enjoy that. once i a blue moon i might hit up shakey's.
