      This time I signed up. I don't know if it'll fit single dad budget and if less about my abilities, but it sure is a motivation to keep up my training and it's been on my bucket list for over 30 years. I've hiked there numerous times in my youth, done a few summit, the vallée blanche in summer and winter, but I never went around.

Hopefully, next year when i can officially do marathons and ultras i may see you out there on the trail. I ended up using the original Pulsar mostly for intervals and very light trails. They are so light with such a great fit that I used them more outside the trails than on the trails… just got the SG version a week ago as they just arrived to Canada. Can’t wait to try them on more rugged terrain.

    Incredible stuff, absolutely one of those bucket list sort of things for me, and certainly something I plan for in the next 2-3years. The weather you had during this, not i single cloud, just wow on the views! I hope you get great running conditions during utmb as well. The trails look super nice, is there technical parts as well? Im actually impressed by the grip on Salomon pulsar trail pro, I did an 65k off trail mountain orienteering race in similar terrain as i can see in your video, had no issues except on snow (as expected). Only gripe was the insole, it moved up infront of my toes when decending when the shoe was soaking wet, do you have any tips to prevent this from happening? Perfect drainage though.

    • @JeffPelletier
      @JeffPelletier  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We got super lucky with the weather indeed! It rained most evenings but always once we were done for the day. Tough to say about those insoles - the Slab Pulsar SG actually doesn’t even have insoles which I love for this reason.

      @@JeffPelletier 👍. That sounds cool, will try them when these shoes are done and framed on the wall (ltd ciele version 🙂). I just took the insoles out and ran without them without any issues but im searching for a solution.

    • @JeffPelletier
      @JeffPelletier  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Audrée was using the Salomon Adv 12L which is more of a day pack. I carried a bit of extra stuff for her. She probably could have done with a 15L pack.

      I also find that most packs on the market for that range (15-25L) are too large for small frames. I have a 30L from Ultimate Direction that was designed for women, so it fits smaller and is more adjustable than most "unisex" bags out there. In this case I was lucky to be with Jeff and get away with my 12L, but if I had been on my own, that would not have been enough and I would have used my 30L.
