- RARE - A large convoy of unmarked cars and vans from the Metropolitan Police seen responding to an emergency services training exercise. Also followed by a London Fire Brigade officer car and a London Ambulance Service vehicle. Featuring a Jaguar XFS, BMW X5, Volvo V70, Mercedes Sprinter, Mercedes Viano, Mercedes E Class, Volkeswagen Golf and a Land Rover Discovery.

Definitely fire arms officers in the x5 and maybe in the blue Van, could well be counter terrorist convoy especially with an ambulance car at the rear.... Probably a training response exercise.

That's not police. The JAG would be SAS high command conducting the mission then the merc & blue vans would be SAS soldiers. Then normal police this is probably a rehearsal they do because of terrorism.

However, by publishing details (registration numberplates) of unmarked vehicles, the authority that runs that vehicle is made less effective (since the vehicle is unmarked for a good reason).
Most responsible photographers will censor the numberplate to protect the identity of the vehicle shown in the video.

Awesome catch, a lot different then here in the US, I wanted to ask one question maybe someone knows. Why would the ambulance have an amber strobe on top of the light bar, my guess is so it can drive on the airport tarmac but correct me if I'm wrong, thats what we do in the US. Keep filming thanks
+truckboy59 Yes you are correct, these days the newer vehicles have slightly smaller amber beacons integrated to the lightbar

+BluelightTV If it's smaller though, it may not comply with CAA and MAA requirements and would not be allowed into a live airside environment. The CAA in particular are very specific on the type of amber beacons used.
truckboy59 the orange beacon is used in airspace environments, Airports / heliport type airfields in UK.

lol......stop making fun of them bro.........they are just doing their job, which (to be completely honest) is really nice to see..........i like things being done on time and well even emergency stuff being carried out on time because you wouldn't want a suspect to throw dirt in your eyes and then evade law if you want your country to be crime free, you know....... i live in India and well i just hope that crime control in my country is just as quick to catch criminals just like the cops in the other countries ........ but i guess that it just depends on the country we all come from.....i mean, i live in India and in my country there are a lot of nooks and crannies that a suspect can run into to avoid getting caught by the police and in such circumstances, you need police officers who can run through these nooks and crannies as well and most of our criminals aren't the guys that are tough and armed with huge biceps that say "YOUR MONEY OR YOUR LIVES".....these guys are scrawny, who prefer to use the cover of night to rob a bank......and they do it the old fashioned way.......but since i haven't been outside India in my life, i really don't know much of how the police forces work abroad......so i can still be wrong on my take of things......

NA ME I think it would have been a prisoner transport as the sprinter was customised and they was plenty of room for somebody in the back.. And there was also an ambulance in case anything happened
The Sprinter is more likely SO19, they don't use Sprinters to transport prisoners.

It's a HART ambulance.
Its not a disguised Ambulance. Was technically bought for Decon, they bought two a few months apart to pull trailers. Decon and HART are under another banner now as is PLATO.
Still based at the same East London Amb Station though.

The simulations will demonstrate the response of the emergency services in order to safely extricate trapped casualties from a simulated road traffic collision.

unlike the US standard issue police cruisers, marked and unmarked, i think British police can use their own cars, but they have to install all the police tech into it, i think.

They are SCO19 , Not Special Forces. The Sprinter replaced the LDV V8 panel vans they had previously.
SF have similar vehicles but no blues and two's. Blacked out windows normally estates. So I have read.
