You're right that it will never be "and they lived happily ever after" in this story:( Henriette is one of my favorite characters, the standard of femininity and tenderness, despite the fact how unfair she treated Philippe from time to time. I seem to be the only person shipping Philippe and Henriette like crazy. I ain't feeling this Louis x Henriette thing. Philippe's hotness and sassiness combined with Henriette's feisty demeanor is pure sex to me.

I think the mysterious man must have been Louis because he was wearing the mask of Apollo. Apollo was the Sun god and Louis was the Sun King. I don't think he would have allowed anyone else to wear a mask symbolising the Sun (Elementary my dear Watson).
Louis adored to dance. He created the first academy of ballet of the world. All the court was obliged to dance. Appollo was one the his choregraphies. Lully was the official composer of the court.
George and Alexander: two British actors that makes us believe they are Frenchies. Awesome actors, after Jeremy Irons, who makes us believe he is an Spanish Jesuit being an Englishman. They look so hansome!!!
She’s gorgeous and charming only her Frenchie accent doesnt fit for her to be of British origins but otherwise she’s lovely. Although she’s mainly the only one who’s British except she’s the only one between them speaking Frenchi-English
@@redstar7292 of course no doubt that she spoke fluent French. I’m commenting on the actress’ English accent its Frenchy. The rest of the cast are speaking the correct English accent. Maybe the producers had done this by purpose to show that she’s a foreigner and her accent is odd
@@redstar7292She was smuggled to safety to her Mother in France during the English civil War at 4. They disguised her as a boy . All the way to the ship that took her to France she kept saying " Me, Princess!".So she grew up bilingual I expect.
Can anyone tell me if there is any deleted clip s . The story of the Parrthanay family being killed in the Forrest and the little girl runs into the woods ,and not found until the next day .She is found by Marshall. And he cradles her until she dies . Cut to the palace and Louis is showing a head wound that needs attending too .So how did the king get this wound?? l have all the D,VDs and none have any deleted scenes on them . If any one could explain this I would be thankful . A devoted Versailles fan 🌞

Yeah, totally agreed! I like the actress who plays Henriette, she's a real beauty. And Philippe definitely loved her in his own way. I tend to believe that Philippe (the one we see in the series not the historical one!) is more bisexual rather than homosexual. BUT it's hard to forgive Henriette for wishing death to her husband, for neglecting and humiliating him. Liselotte is much wiser in this regard:)

Her mother was French, and her brother lived in exile in France before the monarchy was restored. So I think she would have spoken fluent French.
