Love these Christmas trees. Also you don’t talk my head iff. Lol.
These are beautiful
Now that’s really cute and easy thank you for sharing
This looks so fun and easy!
I came across this video & when I saw it was actually from 4 years ago I was happy that it found me!! I soooo love these trees that you have made with flannel. I lost my husband 4 & a half years ago & I have several of his flannel shirts & have been looking for something to do with them. This is the perfect thing!! As soon as I can get some pinking shears I will be making a few that I will leave out all winter. I hope this message gets to you so that you will know that you have made a new subscriber very happy!! thank you so much for the inspiration!! Merry Christmas!!
I haven't seen this one before! So cool and different ❣️
Wow thank you so much! I can see different colours and shapes. Thanks for sharing your gift. God bless!
Wow I love ❤ 😍 these trees especially the red one as I love red for Christmas 🎄 😍
Like so much 😊
This exciting 😊 I can't wait to get started.
This is something I can do. Buying flannel shirts at thrift stores would work great. Thank you for this
Love this! Can't wait to try this Original Idea!
So cute!

Thanks so much you explain this very well and going make some for my family.
Fantastic idea....Thanks again Amy. These are adorable 💜🥰🎄❄🤶🎅☃️
Thank you Lynn :) Can't wait to see your trees when you get done. Merry Christmas
Beautiful tree.
Would be adorable in lace!
I have made wreaths using this method and they are beautiful. Going to make some trees for the kids this year. Your video is great and thank you for taking the time to share with us!
Just gorgeous love them I’m going to have a go keep making things you make it so easy thank you
Thank you Rhonda :) I'm so happy you like this project. If find doing easy projects like this very relaxing while watching my Hallmark Christmas Movies :) Thanks again ....HUGS :)
Depending on the tightness of the weave, and how tapered the tip, certain size knitting needles would probably also work. I have some old, cream-colored flannel, Feeling inspired to make cone from cardboard, pin the squares, and then 'flock' the tips of the tree with some gold craft paint. My decor accent colors are reds, greens so lots of small stash pieces to make bows, etc. Thanks for the fun idea!
Beautiful work, I love how cute these are. Thanks for all of your tips. I hope to see you in January
Hi Amy,
The Fabric Christmas trees are so adorable!! You are so smart. I am definitely going to do this project. Merry Christmas! Hugs and Happiness, Teresa
Thank you for this wonderful educational video--you have been a blessing! I was looking for some fun food & crafts to do when company comes for a month over the holidays. We will have fun shopping for the supplies and creating the trees. We will make some memories...from Grandma Bunny in Phoenix.
Thank you :) This will be a fun family project over the holidays. Very easy and so relaxing to do while you sit around and chit chat. I hope you have a fabulous visit with family over the holidays ! HUGS :)
Also using a small flathead screwdriver works well too. You can also do styro balls for ornaments.
New to your channel
Love this idea my husband passed away have lots of shirts will make each kid one from their dad
Thank you for sharing this
You inspired me, I just asked hubby and son if they have jeans or flannel shirts they don't want. Lol. Have a merry Christmas.
Super cute! New to your channel too.
Hi Amy,

Thanks for the tutorial and fun project! Definitely doing this...I’ll be looking for silver or white fabric to do this.
Thank you Mellie :) Silver and white would be gorgeous !! Happy Holidays to you
What a unique and seemingly easy project. I'm very new to crafting but I think I can try this. Heck. I'm already thinking of doing a snowman with this method, See how cocky I've gotten already, LOL! I'll let you know if I make it through the tree first. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hi Amy what a inexpensive idea. I would but some small balls or beads in between with the E6000 glue to Bling it out. The ideas are endless. Your the best. Thxs for sharing. I have to plaid shirts. Going to be cutting them up..
Beads would be a GREAT idea Evelyn !!! Love it :) You could even make little Easter Eggs for Spring too . Thanks again and Happy Holidays !!
These would look cutest with some glitter sprinkled on them....
I am so happy to see this beautiful, yet simple craft resurface. I did my first trees and wreaths 26 years ago and I still love doing them. Great tutorial!!!
😃
These are beautiful well done. But I'd paint the cone 1st and maybe just use sewing/tacking pins at the top.
Great craft. This would be great for craft shows. They could be used all year round.... don't you think?
🎊
Want to mention that the very thin naugahyde (sp) makes beautiful wreaths using this method, so I'm sure it would work well for making the trees as well.
I USE TO USE STRAIGHT PINS TO STICK THEM IN.
wow I will learn a lot from you😀..I like DIY since I was a kid but just have my new channel 1 month ago ..thanks for sharing your ides
Thank you :) I'm glad you enjoyed it. I will head over and subscribe to you channel to show you support :)
Those are so cute. I will definitely make some of these. How much material does it take? What did you cut the bottom squares into? I saw that you cut the top at 2 1/2. ❤️
Could also do Styrofoam balls too.
What size cones did you use
How did you keep your cone from breaking? I got a little less than halfway done, and my cone broke, which caused all of my fabric squares to fall out. I tried glueing the cone back together, but it didn't work. 🤷♀️
Do you distance the ones going up an inch away too like you do around?
Wonder if you could paint glue or something on the top and let it dry , to make it stronger? Just a thought.
How much fabric do you get
This looks very nice if you made one of these and sold it how much would you sell it for I live in Maryland and I think diesel very nice I watch somebody else make a rag one it's called out of strips and they caught it and tied it and that looks nice too you just use a coat hanger and go up the coat hanger with it so tell him you text me and let me know what you think and Tumblr blocks do you know anything about making ornaments with
A set of 3 trees together usually runs $45 and this is a great way to use up scrap fabric for any occasion :)
So anyway I was wondering if you know how to make anything out of something while they're called Jenga blocks similar Tumblr box whatever do you know anything about any of those you can get them at the dollar store I'm sure you see them but everybody's making stuff out of that I was wondering if you could help me out with that thank you
I know alot of people make picture frames and coasters of of them using hot glue to glue them together. :)
My TH-cam channel is this manual.
Like the idea. Too much pre talk for me though
Thank you Rita. All the pretalk was to explain the tools and materials and their importance along with what alternatives there are out there. The pre talk wasn't social chit chat, there was actually a reason for all the pre talk. I apologize if that bothered you, just know that you can also fast forward to the "meat" of the tutorials. Thanks again and happy holidays.
There's no sound
There is sound. I've checked from several devices and have had others check for me to make sure. You might have your screen muted. There are 3 locations to check this : 1) your internet tab at the top of your screen might have a / through the speaker image 2.) Bottom right hand corner of the video has a volume control 3.) On your keyboard you also have a volume control. You might have one of those muted for the video.
Too much work for not much lol
This would be a great project to do as a memory tree from a shirt that belonged to a loved one that has passed on.
