Practice Diary: Week of 5.8.23

I was a ballet dancer long before I was a musician. My basic musicianship comes from all those years of just listening and moving to music.
How I practiced "La ci darem la mano" (Mozart- Don Giovanni)
1. Practice the flute/guitar arrangement from the score
2. Practice the melody with a recording of the original (by ear)
3. Transpose the melody to the key of the arrangement
4. Explore other available versions of the tune- this particular aria has many arrangements! This variation is by Saverio Mercadante.

OMG Youy ´re awesome. Did you weren´t in a music mayor? or am I confused and you´re inan acting degre or a musicla theater degre= Or you just love to dance and take classes separetely?. Thanks so much! You're right, I was a music major. I started ballet when I was 4, so I was actually a dancer before a musician.
