Okay, so I’m new to all this and now that I heard you explain that last bit about ramping it up and down so easily is really all I need so at least I can use the damn thing and little by little learn all the little programmable features.
Once you learn the UI for these lights you will know them for all lights that use this software which is pretty much every good flashlight out there. Once you get over the fear of it being so much info you realize that it is simple. I learned the UI in about a day and a half. If I can learn it anyone can. I currently own about 38 flashlights that use this UI. I would say Noctigon and Lumintop are my favorite brands. Good video!
I also made the mistake of flashing myself with the thunderstorm mode as bright as it will go because I didn’t know it was on I seen a spot for 30 minutes lol. But I have figured it out now.
Came for the knives, stayed for the personality, I would love to see you review more edc items like flashlights or even wallets
Glad to see you getting into more EDC; come here for the knives of course, but always interested in general EDC too.
Edit: I ended up dropping some money on a FW3C and an aqua gasket; appreciate you letting me know about this thing.

If you do have devices that use AA or AAA batteries, or want a slimmer flashlight that uses them, Eneloop brand rechargeables are the way to go. Your charger is appropriate for them.
Very well done overview, i just came from another video of a guy not being able to use it at all :) and here you are a knife guy jumping into the most advanced flashlight UI and explain and use it with no issues. I actually enjoyed this video.

I love this, MC!! Flashlights are awesome and it's super exciting that you're dipping into this world. I was also very novice when I bought my first edc light (a budget "Soonfire NS17") for $30 that ticked the 2 essential boxes: rechargeable and fairly simple interface. You nabbed a nice one!
I stumbled on mine and bought it for much the same reasons as you did. I was so impressed that after a week I bought a second one just in case I lost the original. I love the memory feature but also like that I can turn it on in the moonlight mode by just delaying the pressing of the button by a fraction of a second without affecting the memory mode. I was so intrigued by it that I made it a point to read and understand all of the instructions. I'm glad you discovered this flashlight.
Do you happen to still have that prybar? If so you want to sale it? I’ve been wanting an actual prybar instead of my dulled ground down knife which I made probably the only spring assisted prybar lol
Welcome to the light world. I started a few years back and it exploded into an addiction. I have built 5 or 6 lights myself as of present. Its a fun hobby to get into....and expensive if you get the itch....
Picked up the fwaa and I honestly use it more than my knives. Love the ui to.

I’ve been overwhelmed by all the options; lumens is easy but LEDs like nichia or Cree, color accuracy is CR(?), and the batteries! Great stuff man, as the kids say, you came in clutch lol
I have the maratac version of the pineapple... very nice in alot of ways, except the tail switch is kinda mushy. The only thing I'll say about batteries is buy from a good supplier! Like knives, there are alot of fakes on amazon and ebay.

Yep great light. I use the FW3A in my knife reviews (they did not have the T version when I got mine) I now have 2 of these and they get carried a lot....
In the 90’s 18650 were used in rc cars. In early 2000’s they were used to power high end photography cameras. 2010s used to power vaping equipment. 2020s we use them for flashlights. Oh how the Sony vtc has evolved. In fact i believe one of Sony’s battery factories exploded a couple years ago.
I’ve always been a mini maglite guy but I recently stepped it up to an olight and was pleasantly surprised. Only up from here
Well it’s pretty stormy in my part of KS today so hopefully you’re playing power outage, lol. It’s definitely an attractive light with some really cool features. Not my bag though, flashlights this size are way too thicc for me to daily carry. Great video!
I am interested! I've been carrying a Maratac "magnetic AA task light" at work lately, and I'm very happy with the size to light ratio. I used to carry an 18650 nitecore light but it was kinda thick in the pocket.

I just got mine it says caution markings on the bezel has the lumintop logo on the switch though

I need a magnetic tail, a clip where it can attach to the brim of my hat.. with that said i still like the aesthetics of model and will probably just pick one up haha
You might want to look at the Lumintop EDC18. Magnetic tailight, reversible pocketclip, 18650 battery and the same software this flashlight has, Anduril...
@@lone1mis Excep it's come with only optic, no glass lens. Don't know if it's a con or not, but I prefer flashlight with a lens on it. Plastic optic feels more susceptible to scratches.
@@misterkoben6780 yes. Me too. The problem I am having with my EDC18 right now is the button. Sometimes, pressing it enters factory reset mode. A few owners are already having this very same case. I dont know it it happens to a certain batch or Lumintop has a problem with the QC of this particular light...
Damaged battery wraps . Imr batteries dot com has replacement wraps and insulators. Definitely recommend you pick sone up to keep on hand .
Protected 18650 bats don't work. Bummer.
It has low voltage protection built in to the light
