@@maxschmidt666just so I know for the future, you pull the pull tab to the side and then just grab the battery instead of pulling the pull strip the opposite direction?
Bro you got several things wrong about the phone specs. It's glass and it is waterproof. However, nice video! I got that phone and it's cool to see it's internals
it is saver to remove the whole backglas but it is doable to only change the cameraglas. It is relatively easy to remove, more easy than other models Heat and much alcohol to soften the adhesive.
I enjoyed the video. Do you find this phone more or less repairable than others? How have you found genuine parts availability on samsung or other phones sevwral years later?
Thank You! The Design build of the A Series is quite simple, got an A5 from 2017 in for repair. Screen is still available. But Samsung parts are not the cheapest. But It really depends on the Brand, Model, Sales Figures etc.
@@irepairitall thanks for the response. I ask because I'm attempting to keep phones longer due to cost but I've heard aftermarket batteries for instance generally end up having pretty poor performance. I also cracked the back cover which I replaced only a few months ago on my note 10+. I'm suspecting genuine parts is what you need to use but their availability might be an issue after 5 years. Thanks again
@@prhannator2874 Fairphone 5 has just launched! They will give you at least 8 years of security updates and absolutely everything is easily repairable. Costs 700 EUR though.
Thank you for your time and knowledge. Great video. I jumped in ocean like a dumbass without checking pockets. cell went under only 5 seconds maybe, doh! Moisture detected at usb port. The cell wont allow charge. Alarm beeps... says remove power cable. So, i will replace the usb c charge port and board. Its a $15 chance to fix the issue. Cell works fine... worked for 4 days.. but now @ 5% battery. What glue needed for reassembly of back glass? Tks so much!!!
@@irepairitall :( I can't fix multilayer boards, I wanted to fix it myself. My main board failed only 3 days after warranty ended and Samsung refused to fix it.
You have to heat up the whole screen, but i think the screen is completely adhesived to the frame, The oled is very stiff and easy to breake. I personally would not recomend doing this. Much to risky.
Super helpful. Well done and easy to follow. Thank you very much
Thank you very much!
Interesting teardown, and well done. The battery removal was a bit concerning, but you pulled it off nicely. Thanks for sharing.
Thank You very much! It definitely needed a drip of isopropyl alc. to get it out.
Actually, the glue part is meant to stay INSIDE and be REUSED - DO NOT TAKE IT OUT!
Just take the battery itself out without (almost) no hassle.

Get a new adhesive, little heat and clamp together for an hour. Your welcome.
Please help me if you know whether the main board is multi layer or not. I have a crack next the LED flash.
All the boards these days are multi layered

@irepairitall Danke for your message man. That's what the technician told me as well.
The main bottom sound speaker grill is made of metal mesh screen? At the 7:43 mark
You mean the output opening on the speaker itself? No metal mesh on speaker nor housing.
Bro, that frame plastic or alumunium?.....
The frame is made of plastic, yes.
I already damage the frame by dropping without case. Any tips on how can I seperate the Screen from the frame.😢
