Yeah, it's almost time to get the old Xmas tree out of the garage, and set it up. Thanks for enduring the humidity, rain, and crowds to bring us the lighting of the tree. Wonder what old Clover wants for Xmas...some more bike lanes ? 🎅🎄 Jim.
@@evogardens It sure is. Yeh I was tired standing in the same spot for over an hour. I don’t mind if they put in some more bike lanes, as long as they go east/west.
Merry Christmas for all Australian people I am from Egypt I love Australia and Australian people very much I have applied for an Australian visa and I am very excited to visit Australia soon and get to know this beautiful, sophisticated and wonderful people. Best regards.❤❤❤
Loved ❤️💚 the Christmas 🎄 vid as usual..nice to see Santa 🎅 and the Lord Mayor this year ..the crowd looked crazy large ..i heard the weather has been crazy hot 🥵 in Sydney..in Canada 🇨🇦 we finally got snow ❄️ and temperatures to fall to -20c tonight 🌙
Great video HW. Looks like you had an enjoyable time surrounding by such festivities. Definitely looks like its worth the time and braving the rain to watch some fireworks and lights illuminate the tree. The people of Sydney must be proud and happy judging by all the mobiles recording the occasion. Cant wait for you to do NYE and Xmas in the city again next year.
Hi HW, Thank you for a lovely Christmas video. I felt like I was there, especially the lighting of the tree. The market was looking good with all those delicious food to eat. I didn't see any mulled wine there. I liked the funky bag stall the best. It is amazing what you can make from a recycled plastic bottle. When I was younger, we had a fairy on top of the tree. It is nice to see it coming back this Christmas. Tomorrow I brave the Xmas shoppers and finally enjoy my free flat white and a much awaited slice of a dairy free chocolate cake. I am going to Sheffield Christmas Market and it is on you tube. Make sure you put 2024, Sheffield Christmas Market and enjoy. Have a good weekend. 🎄🤶🎅🙏
@@carollizzi6494 Yeh I thought those recycled bags were good too. Not all stalls were setup yet. Some still working on their displays. I’m sure there will be some wine or mead in there over the course of the Christmas run. Enjoy your flat white and I will definitely check those markets out on TH-cam. Old Sheffield one of the silver assay offices. Do they still work with silver there?
Hi HW, Just got back from work. Yes, Sheffield still works with silver and with steel, as well. Not so much now, but in my younger days, Sheffield was manufacturing steel much more than today, due to government policies. 🙏
Hi HW, good video opening up the festive period for us. Sydney does make an effort to be sure. I thought the Strand looked particularly good again and the lighting up of the tree was pretty spectacular with the fireworks.
@ Hey Vince. Yep the Strand is awesome. So many fond memories for me. I worked in a building close to the Strand for 8 years. I used to nectar there with my workmates every morning between 9:30 and 10:30am (prime nectar time). As for the tree lighting I was happy to have a view of the Lord Mayor and Santa this time. But I think that might be my last tree lighting. Next year I might come past on another night minus the crowds. Thanks for watching and have a good weekend.
@hwtours thanks, will do and I don't blame you. Oh, incidentally, driving home early Wednesday morning, I stopped off at a service station for a nectar and when it came I gave it the ' the flat white has arried' in true HW style. The lady serving me gave me a very strange look lol.
Yes HW, it's hard to believe Christmas is here again! Funny to see a Sicilian stall there...would not have expected that. All that food looked excellent! Nice window displays! Great tree lighting but look at all those people! Nice touch with the fireworks...I guess they shot them off from the buildings. We are heading to our local display tonight! Cheers! (PS we think that HW should be Sydney's Santa next year!)
@@TravelwithNJSteveandSue Yep Sydney’s multicultural mix brings all the food out. Santa haha people might get confused when I demand they buy a nectar stat. Enjoy your local display.
I live in Lithgow and didn't realise the Xmas tree was so large and colourful. I will definitely come down to Martin Place to view that tree. It's only a relaxing three hour trip by train for me. Excellent video. Cheers mate.
Its boring we celebrate Christmas and decorate our city for the festivities? I'm confused though - why are people from Britain the largest migratory group here. I guess they are crazy unlike you for enjoying a beautiful summer swim and seafood lunch at Christmas. You do you though.
Hi HW.Tree looks great along with the decorations.Sydney really knows how to do christmas.Thankyou for the video.
@@HazelKitching Hey Hazel. It’s getting quite popular the tree lighting. Standby for a new video drop today.
