Perfect example of why I love Band-Maid; most bands have a bridge that feels like slowed down filler until we get back to the chorus. Not our Maids. They add a bridge that's good enough to be a song on its own but they just throw it in there after the solo, then go back to the chorus then manage to blend the two seemingly two different sounds into something chaotic yet beautiful. How often can you say one of your favorite parts of a song you like is the bridge? Hardly ever.
Saiki's machine gun vocals, Miku's angelic harmonies, Kanami's insane tapping and two solos, MISA chugging 16th notes with Akane's kick drum and Akane going Go-Gorilla on the drums. Just another Rock Masterpiece by the Maids. Three and a half years into Band-Maid and I have no idea what any song is about, it's all about the music to me. Ooops, I know what "About Us" and "Memorable" are about..... old drummers don't do lyrics. Glad someone finally appreciated those harmonies.....good ear Maddy.

But that’s not even as creative as they can be. After seeing you pay attention to lyrics more, I’d definitely recommend some of their more meaningful songs. I think you’d like “Puzzle,” Miku’s story of unrequited love from a married man. Or, if you aren’t afraid of crying? “About Us.” The song the Maids wrote and performed for their fans during the lockdowns. Can’t speak for everyone, but even after dozens of listens, that song still gives me chills 🎉 on your way to 20k (and a maid outfit perhaps 😂 )
Miku Kobato had a dream & in 2013 that dream came true. Then after she'd met me she had another dream about forming her own band of impossibly Hard Rocking Maids & that dream came true too. 10yrs on the "Decade of the Maid" is here & BAND-MAID continue to Thrill us to this day. Roll on 2033 :)

This is another of the Ladies songs where MISA solos right along with Kanami. In fact MISA solos almost the entire song. MISA going up and down the neck of her bass throughout Kanami's solo makes it stand out much more for myself personally. And this song was homework from Kanami to the other Ladies. She gave them a basic melody and told them to write their own parts, and she then went and put them all together and tweaked it into what you just watched. And Kanami's closing solo is inspired and really makes the song pop that much more. As for the lyrics, as I read them, this is a woman who has relationship issues, but she is setting that aside to focus on herself so she can grow. Others may read different meaning into the lyrics, but that is my take on them.
What I love, in the videography side of this clip, is the fact that there are no full face images of any of the Maids right up until after Kanami's first solo. They are all half out of frame, or hidden by hair, or blurry in the distance, or turned away from the camera. So cool. And So interesting. One of my favorite music videos from these women.
