      Mohammed the strokes.
Joy division and Paul banks have similar vocals. Muse (starlight’s a great starting song)
Paul banks(the singer of Interpol) released a solo album
Arcade fire (They’re album funeral is great) I highly Recommend the smiths songs like this charming man and heaven knows I’m miserable now are great
      MGMT are good
Fleet foxes has very strong vocals
Bon iver is also good (I recommend hey ma and for Emma as starter songs)
Mac DeMarco is very good it’s more laid back Nad the artics monkeys
Finally here are some songs that I recommend for some band
      The Strokes:You only live once/Reptilia
      Joy Division:Disorder
      Fleet Foxes:Mykonos
      Mac DeMarco:My kind of woman
      Arctic Monkeys:505/Do I wanna know
If you like Interpol you might like this TH-cam channel called middle 8 it’s really good (also me and my brother like Interpol and we both like these bands/Singers)

My best friend in high school introduced me to the likes of Interpol and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I dont think I appreciated how great his taste in music was back then but I did soon learn. Sadly he died in 2007 in a motorbike accident and now when I see the singer from Interpol it is actually eery how much he resembles my late dear friend
This song would be also something of a comfort in those wild 2004-2010 Saturninan return period of my life, especially those emotional times when relationships would break down or times of loneliness and despair in the twilight

    Lyrics
I wish I could eat the salt off
    Of your lost faded lips
We can cap the old times
    Make playing only logical harm
We can cap the old lines
Make playing that nothing else will change
But she can read, she can read, she can read
    She can read, she's bad
She can read, she can read
    She can read, she's bad
    Oh, she's bad
But it's different now that I'm poor and aging
I'll never see this face again
You go stabbing yourself in the neck
And we can find new ways of living
    Make playing only logical harm
And we can top the old times
Clay making that nothing else will change
But she can read, she can read, she can read
    She can read, she's bad
She can read, she can read
    She can, read she's bad
    Oh, she's bad
It's different now that I'm poor and aging
I'll never see this place again
You go stabbing yourself in the neck
But it's different now that I'm poor and aging
I'll never see this place again
And you go stabbing yourself in the neck
It's in the way that she posed
It's in the things that she puts in my head
Her stories are boring and stuff
    She's always calling my bluff
She puts, oh, she puts the weights into my little heart
And she gets in my room and she takes it apart
She puts the weights into my little heart
I said, she puts the weights into my little heart
    She packs it away
    She packs it away
    She packs it away
    She packs it away
    She packs it away
    She packs it away
    She packs it away

When I discovered Interpol I didn’t know what I was in for. I started with evil and started to really like that song, I had a quick look on my Deezer flow and obstacle 1 had been recommended to me. I listened to it for the first time and was mesmerised by the whole track. I went on to listen to their whole discography and pick out my favourites, and almost learn them all off by heart on the drums. Sam fogarino is honestly one of my favourite drummers ever. This whole band has a distinctive feeling that just can’t nearly be replicated by anything. Turn on the bright lights is now 20 and is honestly the best album I have ever heard. I love Interpol.

I love the line "She can read, she can read, she can read, she's bad". I had the line explained as though someone's reading a storybook and they're the evil stepmother type vibe, and they're so obsessed with the finality of the situation and the belief of it's inevitability. It's a great exoneration for the "reader" to not try. "I can read, I'm bad". It's hard to fix something you messed up, so just pretend you're just "oh so bad" and give up, it's easier. The line "You go stabbing yourself in the neck" lends to this. She's the one doing the actions hurting herself and others.
Predestination is dumb and we can all work on ourselves for the better. Believe in you. ✌

I heard this song for the first time at Coachella 2001. Me and my buddy stopped to watch and were like "holy f these guys are dope". The rest of the crew wanted to go see Sonic Youth on the other stage, we went with them. Mega regret LOL

@@solidifiedmilk571 in all honesty, Sonic Youth was like 15 minutes late to their set and performed pretty poorly, Interpol was killing it on main stage while we sat and waited for a sub-par Sonic Youth set.

Looking back when this group was coming up along with the strokes, I was a teenager listening to these NYC groups and exploring other groups from the past. As you get older and look back at experiencing all this music, all your left with is the memory of the feeling of how much it radiated and felt hearing certain passages you enjoyed the most.. Great bass playing.
