I have actually been eating here four times, the last two in 2016 and 2018 was so nostalgic to me. The first two times were in 1979 and 1980 when I for the first time came to Bali as a 11 year old. We was supposed to go to Florida and Disney, but on day my dad came home and said that we was going to Bali… I cried like baby.. Bur anyway, the day after Christmas 1979 was the day my love for Bali started.. we stayed at Hyatt in Sanur, at that time Sanur was Hyatt and jungle, I bet your oldies can say so to. We had one restaurant outside we could walk to, my feeling today is that it had to be on the corner of Hyatt towards the sea today Calle Jzl duyung. There was this fantastic restaurant called Aida. When ordering seafood the owners kids run to the beach to get lobsters or whatever from sumps in the sea. I got me en pen pal, a waitress Calle Suari, I was just a boy so we lost contact but I often wonder what she’s doing, I know she came to Germany to study. Long story but I’ve enjoyed their food booth as a young boy as a real grown man.
Enak Winnie to see the delicious food. My favorite is ayam betutu,i don'nt like duckmeat,but everybody's taste are different.The nasi kuning is the the lightcolor of yellow it looks tasty too.Thanks Winnie for this vlog👍

Yumbo! So love Murni's! My friends and I used to like being bar-flies there downstairs in the bar many years ago. My first time to Murni's was waaay back in the mid-80's, Win. Can you believe we even had the privilege of meeting Antonio Blanco and Ni Ronji walking across the walk bridge on our way back to the car one time. We used to park under some trees at what in those days was a great place to park on Jalan Penestanan, the road that goes back up behind where Blanco lived and where his Renaissance Museum now lives on in his memory. Such a beautiful part of Ubud! No wonder Blanco loved living there and can you imagine how excited he must have been when King Tjokorda Gede gave him his land there on the river?! Story goes that he derived much inspiration for his beautiful paintings of women from a particular spot high on his land above where women would bath in the river below ;D.
I am collecting, the local Bali food you have introduced, looking forward to the day when I come back to Bali again, I can enjoy it, thank you very much🙏

My vegan tastebud likes spicy and you describe the tastes very beautiful it looks amazing… also it is good they remind customers their is no MSG. That jus jeruk must be the best because your buah oranye is the sweetest on the planet. Thx again Winnie for your video that I wait for every week
