If you come to the states with an H-1 visa, you can stay for as long as the employer will keep you, but you must still go back home -- if the employer will no longer need you. Again, many visa holders do not want to go back home but prefer to disobey the U.S. Law and stay in the states illegally and permanently. This is why the gov't must act and change the U.S. immigration law. Poor countries leaders must learn how to generate jobs for their own people. This is not very hard to do if leaders are conscientious and would follow through their constitutional duty and responsibility. The problem is many won't and could careless about their country and the well-being of their people and would rather do a corrupt job while in office. How long will needed. Here’s my answers I work as manager in Toyota, they called that and verified prior they called me into the window. I am going to visit New York I am staying for a week or two. That’s it. I was approved. My visa was good for a year, I was approved sometimes March but I flew to US around month of September. My arrival in JFK has another interview, he asked me where am I going? How long will be my stay. My answers remained the same. The gentle or immigration officer stamped my passport which will allowed me to stay for a year. I return Manila after 2 weeks. Then re applied again the next year, this time they asked my salary, bank account but I don’t have none. I told them I keep my cash as I travelled 3 times a week for conventions which they can see it in my passport, this send time around was a bit longer than my first interview but then they approve me for 2 years B1/B2 visa which pleasures and business visa meaning. Not all immigration are nice or bad but it’s true they really psychologically look on your statements and whatever types of job you do so they can see how credible an applicant versus to what papers you have on hands. Buhay sa America ay nothing but struggle..tulad din sa Pinas..struggle araw-araw, OFW's mas ang hirap..pag masipag at masigasig ka at lahat ay satamang pamamaraan, giginhawa ang buhay mo san kaman naroroon. Una,sapat na edukasyon, tiyaga at sakripisyo sabi nga pag nasa ibaba ka na paakyat na ang tungo mo, pag bababa ka pa, malamang naktingin ka na sa ulap..dedbol tawag dun. Sa ibang bansa, ikaw lahat gagawa,sa Pilipinas may maganda kang hanapbuhay o trabaho kaya mo na mag-katulong. Pag suweldo mo sa Amerika ay say,5k a month..struggle ka pa rin. Lahat ng ito ay nasa iyo.

Haayst naku.. three times akong na deny sa tourist visa bago naka kuha.. daming perang nagastos bago na aproved..
Pero totoo naman talaga na hinanaap nila ito Kung totoo nga na May pera ang isang applicante. Sa una kung pag apply it was easy, they asked me what type of job I do and where am I going? How long will needed.
Here’s my answers
I work as manager in Toyota, they called that and verified prior they called me into the window.
I am going to visit New York
I am staying for a week or two.
That’s it. I was approved. My visa was good for a year, I was approved sometimes March but I flew to US around month of September. My arrival in JFK has another interview, he asked me where am I going? How long will be my stay. My answers remained the same. The gentle or immigration officer stamped my passport which will allowed me to stay for a year. I return Manila after 2 weeks.
Then re applied again the next year, this time they asked my salary, bank account but I don’t have none. I told them I keep my cash as I travelled 3 times a week for conventions which they can see it in my passport, this send time around was a bit longer than my first interview but then they approve me for 2 years B1/B2 visa which pleasures and business visa meaning.
Not all immigration are nice or bad but it’s true they really psychologically look on your statements and whatever types of job you do so they can see how credible an applicant versus to what papers you have on hands.

Usually, they want to know where in US do you want visit? Or if you have relatives or good friends where you can stay. I don't think it has something to do with your marital status. They want to make sure that you won't stay there for good. About your job, ask your company if they could make certified statement that you are employed and you are coming back on a particular date. I'm not an expert. Depende rin kasi yan sa Consul.

K-9 visa (Fiancee’s Visa) is faster mga 6 months approved. Make sure you have all the required documents.

If you want to visit US, then you are considered tourist. Check US embassy website. Andun lahat ng information that you need. If you are a tourist, you need proof that you are going back to the Philippines. Bank account is very important and of course dapat may malaking laman.

Hindi po totoo yan. Ordinaryong tao po ako na may maliit na sweldo pero na issuehan po ako ng US visa. Take one lng po sa interview. Consistency lng po sa pagsagot at kung ano ang nilagay mo sa application form mo iyon din dapat ang isasagot mo sa interview.

FYI American tourist in the Philippines also applying for a visa before they travel if they will stay for more than three weeks. The only difference is that it was never hard to get one..
