Yuri does have a point. If they had just killed the cult leader, Spiderman could've saved himself a lot of trouble in the future against one of his most dangerous foes.
Yeaaaaa but it goes against Spider-Man's code of no killing. He wouldn't quite be the Spider-Man we know if he started killing people, even villains
