Gentlemen: if you have a daughter - of any age - do not ever let a "buddy" of yours be alone with her, and if you have a "weird feeling," don't ignore it. Not every man is a predator. Not every man believes his personal desire is all the carte blanche that is required. But enough do, that you should never let your guard down. Sometimes even a "nice" guy will make ill choices if given opportunity. This goes for male relatives as well. Don't be afraid or embarrassed about your wariness. Any person with the right intentions will understand and respect your vigilance. Most of us (females) have a story to tell about a "friend of the family" or a relative who tried or succeeded in taking liberties. [this is in the context of the story involving "Chris," the neighbor who thought it was perfectly cool to enter the young lady's bedroom as if he had a right]

I might have said this already, but I really appreciate that you don't have screams or crying in the background. It makes the stories perfectly spooky, not horrifying.

This is a perfect teaching moment for all women out there - a man WILL NOT just want to be your friend. Men want their girlfriend to be their friend as well so that's that's a desired trait they're already looking for and if they're attracted to you and you both are friendly with one another the first thought the man thinks is "why not pursue her?". Women and men think differently and while I believe women are capable of being just friends men will always want to get closer than that. I've seen this scenario play out too many times. My wife as well will be perplexed when the man she was being friendly to and kind to suddenly starts to try to pursue her and she's confused. I have to remind her that an attractive female showing attention to a man and smiling and talking to him will almost always be perceived as flirting to the man because...I don't know maybe wishful thinking? Or loneliness probably plays into it, especially if the man is older and single. Just a little insider information. And if the man does settle for friendship because he's forced to by the woman not being interested in him, it will eventually fade out. There may be exceptions to the rule but they're just that - exceptions. The majority of the time this will apply.
I have quite a few guy friends who are just friends and have never wanted anything more than being friends. Many I've know from grade school where I was the tomboy outcast. Now we are married to other people and still as happy as just being friends
@@Naomi-pq6tv yep, thats why I said there are exceptions. But honestly many guys wouldn't turn you down if you offered and I mainly meant single guys because they're the lonely ones. Married men don't usually suffer from loneliness.
A second story involving a woman who believes a single older man just wants to be friends with her and nothing else. I believe this misunderstanding could be remedied if we actually taught men and women that they're different and behave in very different ways to the same situation. If we did we wouldn't act in naive ways or be dumbfounded when the opposite sex reads a situation differently than you eachother.

Mark the creep story sounds made up. She claims they met for a few weeks and she gave him her number and he seemed normal.
Except he clearly wants a romantic relationship, brings it up enough to irritate her, and shows up uninvited to her apartment. Then the drugged wine game they play, and constant texting. And she doesn't tell him to get away from her, doesn't change her number and doesn't involve the police.
I don't think any normal person in a similar situation would have a "Ho hum I have a stalker who's trying to rape me" tone to their writing if this was legit. She almost sounds bored relaying this to the audience.
